My stupid race
My stupid race
I was out on the town the other night and an early 90's integra pulled up next to me and started crewing around. so at the next light I thout why not and the next thing I know he pulles a lever for his dumps and it sounds like I am sitting next to a camaro or something. the light turned green and he was gone!! I cought up with him later and it turns out he has a 327 corvette motor in it with a trans axle out on an off road race truck to keep it front wheel drive. the motor and everything all fit under the stock hood.Anyway it was the most interesting import I have ever seen.

that guy is so full of **** it's not even funny.
first off, a 327 won't fit under the hood of a f*cking integra. and if you could get it to fit, the guy would have to have so much money, he'd be driving a ferarri anyways.
secondly, mating a RWD engine with a FWD transmission is the most BS thing i've ever heard too. lol. and an off-road race truck? the gearing on that thing would be so set for torque and geared for off roading.... not road racing.
what a focktard.

I agree with S2000man01. To get a 327 to fit sideways in an Intrega you'd have to move alot around, like the firewall. Not to mention have enough room for the transmission. I think he was BS'ing you.
A 350 in a 240Z is a common swap and it all fits under the hood. I've also seen a 5.0 in a Miata without cutting the hood. Looked like a factory fit.
Transaxled V8s are in Pantera's as well as several front wheel drive Detroit cars. No reason is shouldn't work for an Acura.

i'm not saying it's not possible. but extremely unlikely. plus the whole "fwd" conversion using a truck transmission. that's mostly what makes it sound like BS

Depending on the Porsche and 240Z models you can stuff a V8 in them. Same thing with Mercedes and Jaguars. But those are all rear wheel drive cars to start with. Stuffing a V8 with tranny into front drive car is a different story.
when i read it i (for some reason) saw that white guy from 2f2f looking over and pulling down the turn signal lever then the engine started idling higher... but then again im obviously dumb.

Guys with V8's and those with powerful engines can gain more power by uncorking(bypassing the muffler and any other exhaust restrictions) theyre exhaust system. To do this, some people either install a pre-fabb'ed lever system or make one on their own that when pulled or activated, basically lets the exhaust flow faster. Its a good itimidating trick... heheh. Dumps is a term used for where your exhaust ends up. Like he "dumps" his exhaust out the back in front of the rear wheels.
Here's something that kinda describes what I mean..
http://www.atpturbo.com/root/releases/release091004.htm
The video they show seems a bit over the top though. Dunno.
that video is for turboed cars tho...(thing is activated by boost) there is no room for a 327 in a teg to begin with .... theres especially no way its turboed. maybe there are other things out there that he could do that are the same piece just not boost activated but this story still smells like cowshit to me
p.s. lol do they make them thingys for nonturboed cars.... say a civic
