Sounds like your GTO has a lot of potential. Is there a company equivalent to Hondata that does ECU upgrades for Chevy's?

Yea, I raced a V6 mustang once. Some blonde preppy rich girl was driving, and she was trying and everything, but I showed her what 10 years of driving and honda can do to a crappy domestic car that weighs too much. I stomped that mustang, it was funny as crap.

/\/\ i owned an 04 SRT-4 w/ stage II mopar for several days and pulled up to some chick in an auto V6 mustang and she took off, i was like WTF!? This girl just dosen't know!! Haha, sadly, i didn't let her eat 19psi. The road we were on was a bad speed trap for the cops.
btw, the insurance on the neon was $350 a month w/ my history, so...
....took it back to the dealer and got my car back.

Believable, but you don't have to be a dork about it. Your post added ZERO information. For all we know, you could have raced a 94 Automatic Convertible V6, which most people on here could beat on foot, not to mention you just had to throw in a couple really weak insults. Not only that, but you didn't even say how fast you were going, what the range of speed was, what the launches were like (if applicable), etc. Next time, try and sprinkle some facts into your post.

When I was virtually stock, I ran a 15.5@90 with a crappy 2.331 60'. With a good launch, and good track conditions, I would easily have seen 15.3's if not better. Also, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine ran a 14.94 with a virtually stock (spare tire removed) 5-speed 99 V6 Mustang. I've only heard of a handful, more like 2, Civics running high 15's stock and I don't think they were @ 90mph. I guess you could call it a driver's race, but, in that case, my car's a driver's race with a Type-S, it just matters how much of an ET/trap gap you consider a driver's race. For clarification, I am referring only to 99-04 MANUAL V6 Mustangs. Not pre-99's OR Auto's.

HEY BLAINSTANG, read the home page, it's says 7thgencivic.com, not V6crapmustangs. Just so you will be happy, it was an 01 white non-convert V6, and quit talking trash to me, you don't know me so don't act like it. Oh, and by the way, mustangs are tampon cars. Every ***** has got one.

hey. blainestang doesn't deserve a verbal bashing. he happens to be a very knowledgeable member of this site. his posts are often quite unbiased and he doesn't lean toward one car or another.
calidan, that type of flaming is not allowed on this site.
and by the way, even the auto v6 stang will edge out a civic. sure a civic can beat one, but the point blainestang is making is that isn't the norm. that most times the civic will lose.

I don't remember how fast I was going; all I remember is that by the end of the race, I was doing over 70 and I took her horribly. Leave it alone blainstang, it doesn't matter, i see thousands of mustangs like yours everyday, I make fun of mustangs when I see them. I have 1 of three 7thgens in my city, so go trade that stupid mustang in, get your head out of your ***, and learn to treat people decently, especially people you don't know.
Dude, I am not trying to **** anyone off, but blainestang is trying me, and I really hate mustangs. The new ones are beautiful, and I love the GTs and Cobras, but I don't like people trash talking to me on a site that has nothing to do with domestic cars.

but you are telling blainestang to get his head out of his *** and treat people decently, when he's done exactly that. he hasn't flamed, he hasn't been calling people names, which is more than i can say for you.
i've been lenient since you're new here, but my leniency has its limits. i wont address this issue with you again.

Maybe 2 or 3. Whereas, decently driven V6's run in the 15's consistantly, mid and even low 15's with excellent driver and condtions. So, I see what you're saying and agree that you could call it a driver's race as an AMAZING driver in a stock civic (15.7) could hang with a decent driver in a Mustang (15.7), so your point is valid, especially since ANYTHING can happen at the track and even more-so on the street. My point is, given equal driver's, lets say average, the V6 would win by ~.5, but, like we all know, that's not always how it happens. Good luck with your future races, and be sure to smoke the one's who give the rest of us bad names.

Yo blainestang, I did mean to sound like a complete moron, but I was trying to get my point across; and yes, it definently depends on the driver. I have been into imports almost my whole life, and I have been driving since the days that I used to joy ride my parents cars when I 12. That girl obviously didn't know what she was doing, she was just trying to show off and I proved her wrong that day. But believe me, that was about as hard as I ever pushed my car. I have high respects for domestics (besides the civic, my other favorite car is the GTO) but I just don't like the older V6 mustangs just for the pure fact that I see them alot, especially in my city, that is full of rich preps that mommy and daddy buy them sports cars and then wonder why they get into trouble all the time. I will just leave it at that, and it doesn't matter, we all have nice cars and I really haven't seen a car on this site that doesn't look awesome. That's the reason I joined this site, to be in a group of people that love what I love; spending 15,000 on a civic and put 10,000 into it, knowing all the domestic lovers spend at least 30,000 for a car that has equal or less horsepower with alot more weight on it and laughing at them, but at the same time, give them props, because America is the best there is. Peace.
Calidan, I don't feel like getting into a flame war with you, but there is a thing called a used car market. My Trans Am with 300hp cost me just a fraction of a new civic. In fact, buying a used domestic v8, and putting 10,000 dollars in it, and you have a car in the 9's. My 2 cents, just different views.
thats cool and all, but when you go to trade it in, you won't get anything for it, trade in values of every other car in comparison to hondas is insane. On top of that, you have a 95, that's cool, but its a 10 year old car and you know you have spent money on replacing parts and maintenance. Just thought I would add my 2 cents.

The fact is that a civic, a RSX, or a S2000 are not made to be straitline drag cars. There are some that are good off the line, but most require alot of mods that make them no fun to drive any other way. The purpose of our cars is to corner fast and accelerate quick. The funny thing is I did not really realize this until a few months ago when I was getting owned by every other car on the road. I am done with the dreams of a turbo, and built internals and hitting 300hp just so I can win a few races and then either kill myself or someone else. I may someday get a turbo and boost 6psi to get a bit extra hp, but for now I am going to spend so $ on the handling and drive my car how it was meant to be driven.
