Rep Power: 400 The S2000 does not get gains like the Type S. They have the engine fairly ringed out as it is power wise. though with the mugen ECU you can get gains. King motorsports I believe has an all motor S2000 pushing 300 wheel horsepower.

I still like to got fast, so I have BMW as a project car (by the time I'm done it should be able to push well over 425 whp), with some mods to the suspension and stripped out interior, it will be a track car. Yes a track car (light, nimble and fast), I doubt many RSX-S will touch it either.
For those who say auto's suck, I'll challenge anyone on this forum to beat my old auto. Of course it has a 502 infront of it (so it's not a civic, but it has an auto) and the auto has been torn appart and rebuilt with shorter gears, hard torque converter and harder gears. Can you believe an auto that runs 9.9 seconds in the 1320, and it's N/A and carborated too!!! No flashing of the ECU or anything.
My point is, an auto done properly is fast in a striaght line (infact they have proven to be faster because when modified properly they can shifter faster than any manual can). So why are autos bad? Nobody on this thread has even said it!!! When you go through a corner, hit the appex and give it gas, the auto is busy down shifting while the manual is enaged and going. That's where the auto is poor, on road corses and autoX, not in the quarter mile!!!

they laugh untill they hear my bov and im gone. and every rsx driver i have encounterd has not known how to shift and they get owned also.
autos can be as fast as you want them to be and yes they can be a (race car) infact many people are starting to want autos more when they mod due to with an electronic shift kit you can shift at the push of a butten.
cant wate to have this project done in the summer and get it dinoed and taken to the track to finaly post numbers on what an auto can do

please dont generalize. the world is wide and big and there are so many people with rsx's who can shift better than you can it's not even funny. as for the rsx drivers you've met, well thats your problem.
i am not saying this to say that my rsx is better than your car but to say that ricers should really stop being ricers

on top of that with a tranny upgrade, upgraded tc and a shift kit no you cant shift faster then an auto.

In all the time I had my car no one ever tried to race me. Everytime I read the "Street/Track" forums it seems that everyone is a hardcore racer and are surrounded by a bunch of hardcore racers.

an automatic still only has 4 gears as as a maunal has a 5 spd. the distribution of power is much better on a 5 spd. the ideal thing ot have is a 5 spd auto but honda doesnt make those. thats why i am swappin for a 5 spd this summer.
