what's up people, this Dodge neon wanted to race me tonight for some cash, me and my friend was waiting for his girl to get off work and he let me drive his volkswagen that he had just got (GTI VR6). so he drives my car and revs up beside the dude in the neon then he come parks beside us. Talks about how he's beat my friends 1994 civic and about all these other cars he's demolishing with a stock neon or so he says. he said it's a 2.0l engine and I think it's a 2000 one. All I have is intake and exhaust, and an lx. Would I have had any chance to beat him if his **** was really stock. He was claimin that he was beating miata's, this hatchbacc civic that has a shot of nitrous and all these other cars. What do u guys think, I was thinkin i could take him but he was scared to pop the engine and let me see. That **** made me mad though so I started talking bout how neons arn't worth **** unless it's the SRT. he got real pissed at this haha

it depends on the driver...the specs. I was looking at are for a 1999 but it would of been a drivers race acoording to the site I found. It is a 2.0L engine but it only puts out 132 HP. In an EX it would of been a drivers race actually but you said LX so I think he might of taken you.

Hmm... I doubt it would have been worth it, even if it were stock. Yeah, if you had an EX it would be a close race, but I'm not too sure about the LX...

Damn my handicap, my friend wouldn't even race his *** cause he doesn't wanna race his GTI for some odd reason, i think dude was a ricer though cause he was like so that's a 4 cylinder and my friend and i were like yeah, only 1.6l engine, damn my friend we could have hustled that bastard.

i've raced a 2000 neon with 130 horse and 120 trq and easily beat it...and i have an auto! neons suck man dont worry bout it.

well your car weighs 2,465 if its a 01 lx and the 00 neon weighs 2,567 if its the 4dr sedan es. Plus it has 132 hp and 130 tq. Unless its auto it should still beat our cars

I don't know I talked to a couple of my friends with cars and they like that dude is fast but nobody seems to know wht he has under the hood it's fuccin weird. I'm kind of mad i didn't take it though, i think i might have been able to get him for some reason. oh well the ****'s over now but i'll probably see what's up wit him in a couple of weeks

from racing dude, one nicca i don't believe he always be lying about his ****, He's got like a 1994 Eclipse auto and said he took dude he said the neon kept up but never passed him, and his **** is stock. My friend with the civic lost against him but he said it was because of the weight in his car (had 3 other people in there) so i'm guessing that's around 300-400 extra pounds. But i've raced 2 accords and beat one and lost against the other cause my *** missed a shift or whatever, i've tooken a 2000+ eclipse not sure if it was V6 and got my *** handed to me from another, but i could have easily beat my friend in the 94 eclipse but i withheld because he's so fuccin confident his eclipse is the **** so i ain't wanna hurt his feelings
