rsx-s vs modded s-10

rsx-s vs modded s-10
was with my friend about a few hrs ago relaxing and i call my cousin whos in town with a modded s-10 and wanted to know what he was up to. He says his mods are stock vortech v6 with i/h/e chipped and shift kit. Anyways i asked if he wanted to run my buddies type-s (stock) and he said fine... so we met up at at a school and found some streets and raced 3 times. 1st time was off the line and both cars spun like crazy and once the rsx-s got in 3rd he pulled away and won. 2nd Was off a roll and the rsx-s pulled like crazy. I would say about 3-4 cars. My friend shut down around 95-100. Then the last run was off a line and both cars got good launches but the s-10 pulled slowly away and we shut down around 60. Pretty suprised how the s-10 did and after a nice smoking burnout by my cousin we left. Overall it was a pretty cool

i would bet that the rsx made up some, if not all of that by 100 mph though. my friend had a 98 s-10 with the 4.3L and i remember him telling me how heavy that thing was. i couldn't believe that the s-10, the smaller pickup, weighing almost 4000 lbs

Building a truck to race is the same a building an economy car to race. Neither were designed for it, so when you acomplish your goal it's that much sweeter.

metallica, i dont bother racing trucks unless its for some sort of benefit. btw, if your assuming i only drive a 7g civic, i dont. as for ecno cars and big rigs, lets compare a 4000lb truck thats putting out 300lb torque and 350 hp, and take a 2000lb compact sport car with the same amount of power, the compact would be the better "accomplishment"

yea it would b but i wasnt tryin to change the subject...i dunno who the guy was ne more but he was sure acting pissy that day... so i think he needed to know it.... n i dont drive a 7th civic everyday either... my other car ... well truck is a 91 s10 bagged

those s 10s are pretty cool drop a 540 in it for the years that got the huge engine bay i forget what year they are mid to late 80s? but ne way you can have a lot of fun with a small truck nice story
