Raced a rx7
Raced a rx7
I really don't know why I put myself through this
Raced a 94-96 rx7 I got a shitty launch and boged. Which only made my a$$ beating look worse. I new I would lose, but fvckinA. Might be time for a different car

I doubt that even a Civic running 14psi of boost could keep up w. a stock FD.

I think it was low-mid 13s?
Well, if I'm not mistaken Catalyst's tranny died on him at some point, so whilst you out-accelerate the FD, you'll slowly pull ahead and then there will be a horrible sound as your tranny dies and then the FD will slooowly pull on you, heh.

FDS are light and turbo = danger for other competition. They share a 50/50 chasis weight and that rotary is no joke. To bad the rx8 couldnt carry the candle, more like it burned out after production of the rx7.

Yeah, the old model RX-7s didn't even break 150HP I think? And they weren't extremely light, but they did handle really well.
The new RX-8s handle alright and look purdy, but the rotaries they have are proving difficult to pump a lot of boost into. Speculation is that Mazda will have a supercharged application.

Yes, the RX-8 is proving difficult to boost...but the superchargers are out, and Greddy's turbo is due at the beginning of the year, as well as Speed Force Racing which produces 350 whp. Also, the RX-8 is said to handle better than the FD in certain situations...but the FD has much higher limits than the RX-8...although the RX-8 is much easier to push hard.
