Rep Power: 0 Bwahahahaha... That pic is funny as hell...
You all need to quit bickering... You all sound like 10 year olds arguing about something stupid.
But IMO, I def. think you could run better than a 15.7 with the rear gutted... Get some stickier rubbers to prevent the slips...

Rep Power: 0 And why was rsxtc banned? Just because he was stating his opinion?? Why not just ignore him instead of banning?? We all deal with jackasses in forums. Its not like he was selling some ish and not sending the product...
The fact is you all get offended easily if someone makes fun of your time... You just need to chill and ignore him rather than getting pissed off...
BTW, you should have expected someone to bash you since you posted in the Track/Street/Strip forum....

(i'm tlkaing everything:rear dash c-pillar panels...etc...)
well here's the vid
GUTEED EM2 intake/exhaust/SS vs EP with intake

so unless you have something to contribute, stfu or gtfo. i'm not gonna tolerate any more of this crap.

not that i have to justify myself, but if you want to sit here and defend a troll like that, then you can join him. i expect not to hear another god damn word about this, and this is everyone's warning.
you wanna discuss the topic at hand, fine. you wanna flame and bash and talk about what this modded si does vs that modded civic, no one cares. last time i checked this was a stock si vs his modded civic.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah my wife has a nice 04 EX. That is our normal travel car. My car is just a toy and my way to work and around town.
I'll race you if you can make it here by Sunday. What are you running at the track anyway? Always looking for more SI's to run. There is a guy around here with a RSX Type-s with I/E and a best of 15.1@94. I'm hoping to run into him this sun as well. Like I said before I may be asking for a little too much, but I want a 14sec slip before I leave the country. With the new mods I should be close.

Rep Power: 0 I'm pretty sure your joking. Cause I don't know a lot about the mechanics of cars, but something tells me that wouldn't be very good. I've actually done that on older trucks at work but no way in hell would I try it on my car. I think I'll go with the SS.

Rep Power: 376 damn i forgot the ratio... but general rule of thumb is .1 seconds is about 2 car lengths. but that ratio increases directly with how much a difference there is in the 1/4 time.

.1 sec= ~1 car
Does that sound right?
Also, if you are going faster, say 180mph, you would be covering 264ft/s, so,
.1 sec = ~2 cars
***The first "carlength" is the length of the first car and therefore the second is at the back bumper. For each carlength of SPACE between, add another .1.
So, if @90mph the guy is at your bumper, you won by ~.1. If he's a carlength BACK from your bumper ~.2.

Rep Power: 281 For the people who are shitting on redline04 tell him that what the point of gutting the car when the guy with the superior car could do the same and gain an advantage. That's part of the modification game, why modify all together if your gonna be negative from the start. "Man why turbo my car when a turbo RSX will pull on me. Man why gut my car when a gutted si will pull on me" If your thinking is like that maybe you shoulnd't be modding your car anyways. I'm tired of haters, atleast someone has the *****, to go and gut out his car to get to perform. I like that old school style, someone with *****.

Rep Power: 0 the whole rear assembly only weighs around 27lbs. Passenger seat weighs more around 35lbs. Only four bolts and two wiring harnesses for the passenger seat, but your SRS light will come on and I think it will not function? Thos Items with the spare tire should be good for a tenth. Some might think it's not worth it, but it could be the diffrence between winning and losing.

Rep Power: 0 I really don't know. What are you running now, 60ft and MPH? When mine was stock I ran a 17.0 in 88 degree weather. I have always wondered if I would see better times with the VTEC head in my car. I wish I could have custom ordered a dx with and EX motor and tranny for the 12 extra ponies and shorter gears.
Jet asked me the same thing and I told him the same. I'm used to my car and had quite a bit of seat time. Your car may be different and as I told Jet his car is way different, launching an open diffrential fwd turbo is nothing like launching a weak NA in the same car. I would give it a try but I couldn't promise that I'd do any better.
Just get out to the track and experiment. Try different rpms to launch at, feather clutch, practice shifting quick and maybe try shifting at differnt RPMs. Experiment with front tire pressure. Try 15,17,19,21,23psi and see what works best. I think the more seat time you have the more you get to know your car and your times will improve once you find what setup works for you.

I guess I don't know what "real" VTEC is like in your so cool rsx.
And it's not like he killed me. It was very close then he slowly walked away on the top end. At the track it would have been close, but on the street we were definitly going faster then either of us would be trapping. Besides I did get him that first run and I was spinning a lot. I am trying to set up a rematch at the track for next weekend. I don't know what you run in your rsx, but lets just say I'm predicting times close to what a stock rsx would run. Check my sig for my last time I went to the track. I gotta couple more goodies that should help me get there and for about 10K less then a brand new RSX-type S with a car that has half the HP.

I saw all three races.Redline did a good job, better that most people would have done.

Rep Power: 281 I'd like to shift faster but the poor tranny can't handle it. You feel the synchors resisting or car not shift smoothly when the rev's haven't dropped appropriately on an upshift. In a 1/4 I can see the launch being important, but I guess even if you shifted slower(optimally when the transmission allows you to chance without slipping the clutch without shoving the stick into gear causing slip) it wouldn't affect your time 1/4. I can see how shifting quick could help with your 0-60mph acceleration but in the 1/4 mile your still rolling and covering distance so Shifting smooth(feeling the point where the tranny allows the shift)would be my option.

Rep Power: 0 No more hating from him...
Pretty funny he ran a 15.7 with a RSX base model with 160hp and Redline ran a 15.7 with a 117hp car. Then he wants to flame him for doing it. Redline I dont even wanna know what people are going to say to you if and when you break into the 14's with no FI/Nitrous. Get ready to get hated on. But you know I got your back, club love up in here. Good luck getting rid of the bullseye on your chest.
