raced 2 5th gen sedans
well i got my car tuned pretty good finally and my best friend was like hey how about you race my car but with my dad driving it. now her dad is the guy who basically built my car and he used to race cars in europe before he moved here. so i was like fine all she has is a 93 LX 5-speed. with h/e/i no big deal easy win. and it was i beat her dad by about 6 cars, without the bottle. i woulda beate her driving by like 8 cars probably, i wished she woulda raced cause we want her in nopi chics this coming year at nopi. but then her dad was like hey why don't we race but i'll drive my civic. and i agreed but neither of us used the NO2. well hes has a 95 dx with a D16 vtec swap. and its tuned has hell h/i/e new fuel system, mugen chip, hondata, stage 2 clutch, lsd tranny, i mean nothing is really stock on this thing.(it was another one of those junkyard revivals.) i mean this things grips the road really good. well we both got good launches and i actually had him for the first 2 seconds, but in second he gained the little l had back and through second he put about 1 car on me. at the end of the race he had about 4 cars on me. i don't think that was to bad racing a former pro driver in a lighter car that has a dyno 173 whp off the bottle.

yeah its a D16z, like i said completly not stock. he drives it for an every day car at that. but then again he has been tuning and building cars for like 30+ years. so he should be pretty good by now.

The D16Z6 is also OBD1 and has a lot more better parts available for N/A tuning because its been in existence for a lot longer now. In due time D17's will have the same N/A potential I think, but who cares. A K20 is a much better investment.
