alright, i've had my fair share of stop-light drags, and some i win (Daewoos, Hyundais, Kias), some i lose (just about everything else), and some i provoke just to see how bad i can get my a$$ kicked ('05 Mustang GT, 'Vette Z06) but i finally have one worth sharing!...my car has recently decided that it is not as fond of me as i am of it, and all within TWO HOURS i had a flat tire, my speedometer and odometer both stopped working, and my transmission won't shift into 2nd when i punch it from a stop without revving to 6800 and stuttering for a couple seconds...so i'm currently rocking 3 18" ADR rims and a good ol' 15" black steelie (with chrome lug nuts and valve stem cover..bling...), i have absolutely no idea how fast or how far i am going, and i can't race ANYBODY ...however, this afternoon i was on my way over to a friend/s house and i see the little beady headlights from an Integra coming up kinda quick, so i slow down to see if it's anything worth checking out, and we both end up catching the next red light...as soon as he rolls up and sees the rims and $hit, he revs on me...i'm assuming he has some kind of I/H/E from the sound, but like i said, bad tranny = no race...so i go ahead and decide to look his car over and it is hadcore jacked up...it looks like it has been rolled because the hood and roof are dented, and the front glass and sunroof are smashed to $hit, he has a different rim on the front than on the rear (who knows what he had on the other side), and he revs AGAIN...so i just drop down into 2nd (yes i have an auto...yes, it sucks...) and figure i'll give it hell just for some turkey day fun...so i give it a little gas while i have the brake down, and when the light turns green i jumped on it...at first i thought he wasn't racing, but his engine was SCREAMING, so i just stayed on it...i clicked it up into drive around 6800, and he was already about 4 car lengths behind...i slowed down as my car shifted into 4th right around 100 MPH, and he was a good 10 car lengths behind...i rolled the window down to just wave as he drove by (i'm a nice a$$hole), and he just revved one more time as he went past...

my car is by no means fast, and i get reminded of that quite often, but i just thought that it was funny that this guy had so much rice running through his veins that even with a demolished car, HE still revved on me just to get his a$$ handed to him...anyway, happy thanksgiving, y'all (i know it's 2 am on friday, but it's close enough, and i'm still eating turkey...)...

Hmm, if he wasnt racing maybe, but @ 10 cars... you sure he had a motor?

1 reason why your tranny is just about dead is b/c you race it too often. Now, did you think that maybe the car was stolen and was beat up by the person that was driving it? Who knows, maybe it was so beat up on the outside, maybe the Integra was missing a cylinder as well......

haha...ok, maybe not 10 cars, but i was running right around 100 and he couldn't have been going more than like 80...and i know just about any other Integra (or any other car for that matter) will spank my a$$ in a race, so yeah, it was definitely screwed up under the hood...

and yeah, i know why my transmission hates me...most likely because of the revving in Neutral + dropping into gear...or maybe the dropping it into 2nd to pass somebody...i'll be the first to admit that i rag the $hit outta my car, and trust me, i'm paying for it...but everything that goes out gets upgraded (i.e. got a flat tire = new 19"s, need new brake pads = Brembo BBK, dented bumper = BC2 kit...), and i've really decided to take it easy on my car...actually, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles decided that for me when i got my 10th ticket last month...so yeah, i've had my fun, and yeah i've paid for it, but that time has come and gone...but thanks for the comments...

haha.... just curious...... what if your transmission goes? besides getting an engine and transmission from a base RSX, dont see how that can be upgradeable.....

lol..yeah, i've been kinda worrying about that myself, and to be honest, i don't really know...however, i did just get a $7400 check from the good ol' USAF, so a K20A2 is looking like a very real possibility...i imagine that that amount isn't going to cover everything, but it's a pretty damn good start...and i have a truck back in FL that i'm picking up in a couple weeks, but i'd really rather not resort to it since it gets about 8 miles per gallon...anyway, i guess i'll cross that bridge when i get to it...

my '76 F-100...V8 + RWD = ...gonna be a welcome change from the 1.7L FWD...
