Can't win em all

This one is funny. When I lived in Houston, I used to bartend at this Little Mexican food place. I had a buddy I worked with who was into bikes and he was always telling me about this place in Houston he would go where everyone would gather, race their bikes for big money and whatnot. He had just gotten a used ZX-9r and had put some mods on it. I hadn't had my RSX-s but for a few months and he was wanting to race me. I told him he was a jack *** and no I wouldn't race him. He asked if I would change my mind if he put his friend on the back too. The guy with the bike is close to 230, his friend is over 200 lbs. Thats alot of weight. I don't drag race( I'm a sissy I know ), but i told him we would get to sixty, then we could get after it. I din't know what the hell to expect. I had never rode a sports bike at that time, sure as hell had never tried to race one. We got going, got to sixty, the owner of the bike had a helmet, his stupid friend did not, and we went. I dropped it into third and caught 5800 rpms quick. I couldn't even hear my car. I saw a friggin blue flame shoot outa his exhaust, and he was gone!! I took mine to 100 before I let off, he says he took his to about 150!! The guy that was on the back couldn't even speak, and his eyes were red as hell and streamimng with tears from the wind. He din't know how fast they were gonna go, but he got him a bike the next week.

You actually thought you had a chance. A chopper would have dusted you. Crotchrockets... fugettabout it. When I had my GSX-R, it was easy to get up in the 100's before you realized it. They are torquey as all get out, and get to ***** to the wall so quickly.

I never expected to even come close to beating him, but the way he took off and left me was friggin humbling. I have since actually gotten to pilot a few bikes and the acceleration is like nothing I have ever felt before.

I've seen a few cars around here take a bike before. The cars aren't exactly run-o-the mill but still pretty cool.
