Beat a '93 Integra
My co-worker and I went gambling last night, and ended up lining up with an early 90's Integra auto with cat-back exhaust. I have a 2004 auto with just an axle back exhaust. When the light turned green, he got on it so I followed suit and completely left him behind. Are those cars really that slow, or was my Civic just having a really good night?
Unfortunately, I didn't have as much luck gambling as I did racing.

how early 90's is early? Was it with a flip up head lights? If so, there should be contest.
edit: nevermind, read the title.... I think it should have been a drivers race oh wait, both auto... ok, maybe the teg was just down on power... too much abuse

....I think just about EVERY other car that is automatic would beat any stock auto civic. Just cause of the power diff. But hey, maybe you got lucky.
I got manual 04, and I raced an 2000 manual ls, and he kept up pretty good, if we woulda taken it up to like 120, he would have pulled on me up to 130 cause of the DOHC on those.

anyways, just for the hell of it im throwing
, for the simple fact an AT TEG puts down more WHP than your civic. Maybe you started racing and a 2sec later he said "**** it, not worth the gas" and you just kept pulling thinking, "i smoked this teg"

^^^ I was thinking that at first, until I slowed down and he flew past me. Even after we parked, he was flashing me looks as if to say "how the hell did you beat me?"
The race was only about an 1/8 of a mile, so he probably would've beat me if we had raced further. No telling now though.

the b18b1 acura integra 90-91 come are 130hp and the 92-93 years are 140.
as for that quote....

i seen b-swapped civic hatchbacks that can whoop camaro z28's and mustang gt's. and you know those 2 cars produce tons of hp. when i say swap, i mean gsr motors or other B-series that make from 140-180hp.

You have to admit, for any honda to run fast it's has to be either type-s or s2000 or swaped or TC/SC.

That is probably the case. I'm sure my baby Civic with only 5800 miles on it had some advantage over his high mileage Integra.
