z28 vs crx

last night went to out our spot(quater mile) and my friend (red stock z28) raced a blue crx w/ b18 motor and the z28 hung with him all the way til the end and the blue crx started to pull away beat the z28

omg my friend thought he would never get beat by a honda guess he got proved wrong

tonight he racing him again because he thinks he can beat since the z28 hit the rev limiter in 1st and missed 3rd gear

camaro should win no doubt. 285 hp rear wheel should kill that crx no problems if the kid could drive.

^^ not necassarily. Crx has a major weight advantage. I think i've heard a few ppl running low 14's in crx with b18's, but then again it depends, ls, ls/vtec, gsr, or type r motor?

actually it's a 95 z28 so it only got 275 hp

crx - pretty sure it had a ls but it may have ls/vtec

if the kid in the crx is a good driver with a good engine hes capable of low 14s but with an ls non vetec and the kid in the camaro should have it, might not even be a full car length, but should win.

yeah a 95 is a little down on power (275) for the weight (~3400lbs), but he could get a 150HP shot of nitrous and solve all of his problems, except the fact that hes a terrible driver.

So would you rather have an 88 CRX that runs 13's, a Z28 that runs 13's, or a Porsche 911 that runs 13's?

Most of the older z's I've ran across are pieces. They sound like they are about to fall apart, and the ride is like turbulence on an airplane. I know though that when they are in good form they freakin haul. I read somewhere that a new one is to debut in 2006.
