Question is 10.781 a good time for 1/8 mile

ok so i just got back from the track and i wanted to ask whether or not i had a decent time. Out of 4 runs on an 1/8 mile track i was able to come up with a 10.781 as my best time. i have a mildly moded 02 ex motor which includes: Injen Cai, Top Speed 4-1 header, Greddy evo cat-back, ngk plugs and hks ground wires. Opinions anyone??

^there was only a 1/8th mile track...
as for the time im not 100% shure, but it sounds decent to me. IM not entirely sure what that would work out to in the quarter, but maybe low 16's high 15's?

My worst 1/8 time was 10.658 this resulted in a 16.654 1/4 mile time.
How bout some more info like 60 ft time and trap speed. That will give us a better idea.

yup thats about a mid - low 16 chances are your 60' was in the 2.3 - 2.4 region you should beable to pull a 10.5 - 10.3 IMO depending on your launch.

60' was 2.5, i think i might get the random tech hi flow and then go back and try and get to atleast 10.5 if not better. But for right now a 10.7 seems pretty decent! thanks for the help

10.7 in the 1/8th mile translates somewhere into mid to high 16's. Definitely not anything faster than 16.5.

I ran a 10.00 1/8th mile and my quarter mile ET was 15.6. This was in a 5speed RSX btw

Your times are identical to mine. I run around 10.695-10.750 on the 1/8th mile and a 60 ft time of 2.480-2.589. My 1/4 mile best was a 17.083 and worst was 17.323. Maybe you can pull of something faster though. I have a 01' DX 5-speed with Intake and exhaust.

only mods that will help your 60' is better tires and learning to drive. getting the high flow wont do much for ya. .05 off if you're lucky.

yeah i know that, i would really like some more low end torque. That was only the second time i've raced on a track before. maybe with some more practice i can put down better times.

i ran a 10.7 with 17's as i should have ran a 10.3 or 10.2 if i had the 14's on so i guess i am asking what size rims did you have on the stock or aftermarket rims

on my best run I hit 10.274 in the 1/8 mile @69.66 MPH
that was with a 2.477 60' (I can hit 2.1 if I drive right)
I finished with a 15.817 @ 84.76 in the 1/4

^thats a nice time man! Funny thing is on my best run i had a
2.427 60 ft
10.550 @ 65.64
ET of 16.526 @ 83.194

i want lower times! you gain 4mph on me by the 1/8th, but the final speed is closer..weird!

My best 1/8th is like 10.3 @ 66. I wonder why you canadians always seem to have higher trap speeds?

it depends...how long have you been racing?

with the car and the mods you have, if you've had <25 career pulls I would say it's a pretty decent time...your 60 foot and RT are probably needing a little work but that comes with time

if you've had >25 career pulls I would suggest a driving school because you are probably doing something wrong...

but at least you're getting to the track and practicing

looking at a few of my first vic pulls (when I was stock), I've got two runs with 10's in the 1/8 (both of my notes say terrible launches)...they resulted in 1/4s of 15.9's
