500 dollar Street Race Fine
Well I was driving home from the movies and im within a block or so from my house. I get to a red light and this lil civic pulls up next to me. I am blasting my music so i dont even look at him until he honks. He starts reving and so we raced in a 30mph zone and I was doing like 85 to 90mph. I didnt see the cop behind and Had my music up still so i didnt hear anything. I turn onto my street and keep going and I look back and was like oh ****!!!! So I pull over and they tell me to put my hands in the air and ****. Basically I got fined 200 for street racing and another 300 dollars in fines for illegal parts and apparently my car is to low. I know your probably wondering why is he not in jail because 3 times the speed limit is a felony. Well its because im a minor so i got one hell of a lucky break and the cop was actually really nice.
No more street racing for me.......

That's news to me. I think you got lucky, cause I always thought it was a much bigger fine and jail time. Just learn from your mistakes I guess. Not worth dying just to race.

word...no more street racing for me, or going crazy w/ the car. last time i "tried" to do a little drifting...i lost complete control of my supra and almost wound up around a light post....good thing my girlfriend's street is WIDE. so yeh, never that...no unless its at a track n all that.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah unfortunatly it took an experiance like that to make see that street racing is really dumb. I kinda wish they had places for us to do it though instead of having to drive all the way to a track or wait until sat or sunday to race.....
thats crazy only $200.00 i used to street race between 93-99 and we were getting $1000-2000 fines plus impound of the cars. be happy thats all they fined you for and no impounded car..no matter if you were a minor or not.

If the ****ing people would build tracks within range of my house I would ****ing go but even then i dont wanna waifor a ****ing track night so i can race. What if I wanted to go race right now? I ****ing cant cause the track isnt open or its not a track day so **** you. You can suck my ***** you ****er. And yeah im pissed cause you act like I dont know people die street racing. Ive seen it happen ****tard. So if you wanna ****ing complain then ****ing talk to an authority about building tracks near my are otherwise stick a **** in your mouth and shut the **** up!!!!!

its cool that the cop was nice to you, one of my friends pretty was much doing the same thing in an industrial area with his 89 mustang, police clocked him going over 100, pulled him over, and pulled out guns on him
he spent a night in jail and had to pay some pretty hefty fines
glad your ok, next time just dont even bother with racing people in a populated area, i know its hard to do that, i also have no tracks near me

Rep Power: 330 personally, for some stuff, they shouldn't be nice. i'm not saying don't race, i'm saying take the consequences. sure, i'd love to be let off easy. but since i want people who do 20+ over the limit to get nailed, i don't fault them for nailing me. i hate it when people weasel their way out of tickets they no doubt deserved. when i'm 5-0, i won't hand out bullisht tickets i make up, but i also won't tolerate drivers who put others at severe risk.

Rep Power: 0 GET A RADAR DETECTOR...I've gotten one wreckless driving ticket and now I got a careless operation ticket....what lesson have I learned...I NEED A RADAR DETECTOR...but I WONT race in traffic though and on residential streets
We go out to the Boon Docks here in Oregon and Race in the middle of the woods.... Takes Police 1 1/2 to get there...but by then we hear it on our police scanners and we bounce 
wow crap you got off easy! ... you're lucky they didn't take you straight to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200 (and impound your car)
