Test and Tune Saturn
I think everyone would enjoy this story. My buddy Chris's dad is the general manager of a Saturn dealership and Chris has been driving a 2004 Saturn Ion while his 99 SC2 is in the shop (body work). He has been ragging on this car since he got it. The syncro's are so screwed it won't go into 3rd gear. He decided to take it to Test and Tune night at the track just to see what kind of times it would get with no 3rd gear. Twice he raced and beat a 1998 Integra LS, I don't recall what the times were. The driver of the Teg wanted another try so they lined up again. Chris did a massive burnout in the burn box before pulling up to the line. When the staging lights lit up chris reved to about 2500, and as the 3rd light lit he dropped the clutch, but didnt move anywhere. All you heard was a loud snap... Then from under the front bumper we see a cv joint rolling to the middle of the track. We ended up pushing the Ion off the track. Chris had snapped both CV axles. He had to tell his dad about it, and he was pissed. Now until his SC2 is fixed, Chris has to drive an 88 Nova.
