Raced an 04 EVO
Well i was driving around tonight and in case some of you didn't know My turbo kit is finally finished. OK well I was cruising tonight and I rolled up upon a brand new 04 EVO. He looks at me and revs... So I just shrug my shoulders and say why not. Well we start to cruise at about 30mph and he looks at me and we both start to go. (well im boosting 8psi until someone gets me my Boost Controller, you know who you are
) well he starts to pull and then I hit full boost and start to pull away from him. and I pulled til around 80mph. He rolls up to me and asks "Are You Turbo'ed?" I Say "Not too sure" WE go again this time I blow off right by his window *insert Greddy Type S BOV sound* and Smile. and I shut down. The End.

nice kill. Was the guy a bad driver or something? I know your running 8psi, that takes you to around 200hp right? He still has 271hp, i know our civics are lighter but i dont think the weight can make up the 70 horses. The guys not very smart to race his car before its even broken in. I'm not tryin to take away from your kill but just amazed you still won. Your either a really good driver or he's a really crappy one. I'll let you pick. congrats on the kill though.

But, at a drag, the evo will tool on us. The AWD launch is a such a pain to keep up with. I got a vid somewhere of racing an STI. Do a search you'll find it.
Also, if we go full course against them (real road racing), or highway runs (higher than 80), chances are they'll eventually pull us. Not tryin to burst anyones bubble but 271 crank hoars, with awd, short gears, a sick brake system and rediculous suspension will take a lot of investing into a civic to make a decent challenge.

. you are prolly around 210 to the wheels. I've never ran an evo but last time I ran a mostly stock STI from around 45 - 130 I was barely ahead til 100 then from 100 - 130 I was at his rear door. I'm at 183whp and probaly weigh at least 100 lbs less then your vic. nice kill for sure
when you gonna dyno it and hit the track??
