I thought I would share a pretty cool story. A 92' civic hatch from my town had a 5.0 stang in front of him. So The Civic decided to pass him They went neck and neck down the Road, the kid said at 130 He passed and blew the stang away. This kid has a serious setup in his Hatch, B16 with a crv head, cams, nitrous.Off N/A he claims to be Shifting at 11grand... So Now all the Big cars, like vette's other supercharged mustangs, and thangs like that want a peice of him

Why would someone waste their money by putting a CRV head on a b16. Maby its the other way around.

wow, you mean he passed a 12 year old heavy muscle car w/ an anemic V8? thats pretty impressive w/ a hacked up economy car. If he's shifting at 11 grand, he probably wont be doing it for long, that's sportbike territory. Tell him to give a C5 a run and get back to you. I'm not flaming, I just think that the myth that stock 5.0s are fast is as bad as the "my B18 hatch smoked a ferrari" things that are always going around. The time when the old stangs are dangerous is when they stroke them, throw in a 351, or build them for nitrous, look out then!

Stroking brings it to a 347... which gives you maybe 40 more horse... big deal

Only difference between a 351 and 302 is the cubes... heads and intake flow as well, so you have a 50hp (maybe) difference...

Nitrous, well obviously that will make the car fast...

302 with a Vortech S-trim will put out more power than a stockish 347...

yeah, you can make the B16 into 1.8L. But I'm also wondering why someone would put a B20 head on a B16. bye bye VTEC

they usually upgrade their internals when they are stroking, some of the stroker kits put out 450+hp and ungodly torque. the 351 can be built as well. A 5.0 hatch w/ some weight reduction, a T5 and a blown 347 is a fun ride.

doesn't putting a crv head on a b16 stroke to a 2.0 liter? and makes it a lot faster then a b18?

lol most cars on street dont even need to rev at 11 grand lol theres like no power when u reach that high unless u got more then 265whp and i know this cause a guy on honda-tech reved up to 10 grand and even he said he lost power after 8900 so it must have been pretty crazy and yeah its prob the other way and a friend of mine has a gsr head and b20z bottom and he hits 11's lives in cali and even he says his mtr dies after 9 grand and his car n/a hits 11's so dont know if this guy is bsin or wat

Yes.... it is a crv block block and a b16 or b18 head.. therefore utilizing v-tec.. however with the new crv's coming out with vtec and the new accords the new big build is either a crv block and a new accord head or an accord block and crv head.. but I think it is crv block and accord head.. because the crv block is great for torque and the b16, b18, accord head's provide a stronger than average v-tec and high hp... it's a high-torque, great hp.. dynoed something around 487 tq and around 441... beautiful.....

The new CRV's and accords have a k24, not b series.

yeah, but the whole purpose of being that high in the rpm's is that when you shift, you're already at the PEAK power of the power band. say...7000-8000 rpms...think the guys ..my old integra had a b16 with spoon internals in the head and i got a good 9700 out of it, but it was dead after 9000
