Rep Power: 0 Civic LX v. Civic SI
Aite. I had just clocked out and was leaving work when i noticed a black civic si in the parking lot with Konig holes rims, the same ones that i hav on my black civic. So i walk over and check it out. Besides the rims, all i could see was a aftermarket shift ****, painted calipers, and a magnaflow dual exhaust.
So i get in my car and prepare to drive out when i notice the civic is pulling out in front of me. So he pulls out and i follow him and we just both happen to be pulling u turns. He goes a little wide so i pull in on the inside of him and roll my windows down. He does a double take and realizes that i hav the same rims. By that time the road clears so we speed off down the highway and come upon a light with cars in front of us. We exchange hellos at the stop.
When the light changes we drive along admiring eachothers cars. By the time we reach the next light, the road is clear in front of us so he says "now here we go" and then the light changes. We both launch with him burning rubber off the launch and in second. I get him offf the launch cus of the tire spin and we accelerate up through third. By 80 mph hes bout a half a car length to a full car length ahead of me. I shift to fourth at 80 and hes stays just where he is, not gaining hardly any distance at all. By that time i had to shut down to make my turn and he drives off into the distance.
He barely had me at all. I was really surprised he didnt pull more on me. But whatever. I lost but it was fun none the less. Its always cool to meet another car guy.

Rep Power: 0 They should be a little bit faster then that, possibly poor driving on his part. But on the same note, they arent all that fast in their own right. However... I did manage to get my *** handed to me by an SI with a k20a3 swap. He put 7-8 cars on me by the time I hit 60.

Rep Power: 0 i was drivin 1-90 outside seattle when a gold minime minivic si pulled up beside me and starts pullin ahead and backin off like he wants to race, im goin about 55 in my auto vic ex (i know auto sucks my grams bought me the car for graduation) so i downshift into second and give him a lil taste, i have a homemade intake (pulled off the big airbox and replaced stock filter with K&N filter and attached rubber ducting and ran it down under the battery and also i took off my muffler so i just have a resonator, actually sounds quite nice, nice and low note not all raspy like full exhaust) neways it added some torque, so i back off and we even out at 50 mph he puts up 3 fingers and starts the 3 honk go, i downshift into 2nd which puts me right at 4700 4800 rpms and were dead even up till about 105 and he maybe gains a 1/2 car length and have to slow down for traffic neways ya the si's arent that fast at all and they look like mini minivans, oh yea only $$2500 more and ill have my payments on an STI down to 300 same as my vic CANT F***KING WAIT!!!!!!!

Rep Power: 298 After reading your post, I felt like I had to say something to ya because I will be getting a STI soon too.
Please don't buy an STI.
There's only a limited number available.
I'd hate to see one go to waste to someone as immature (and possibily stupid) as you.
Thank you for your time.
