Just got back from the track w/ My K swapped civic

just got back , the track sucked tonight it was not sticky what so ever.
Alot of people that hit faster times where running slow. I dont have a scanner
but here was my best run
R/T ... .391
60 ... 2.337
330 ... 6.380
1/8 ... 9.681
mph ... 74.73
1000 ... 12.512
1/4 ... 14.887
mph ... 93.90

My other runs was a 14.9 and the shitty one was 15.1 . THe car had wheel hop like
a bitch. Wouldnt launch worth a ****. The first ones i launched at 3 - 3.5 The last one was 4.5
I have azenias tires didnt lower the pressure or anything. I dont really like these for track tires.

for the 6 grand that it would take to swap around where im from i thought it would do alot bette then a 14.8. heck you can run low 14's high 13's with turbo set up and 2 more grand put in to other mods...

I say that's very impressive. He's got a 14 second civic, and that thing is much much reliable than any turbo civic. I would take a k20 over FI any day. Too bad I can't afford it.

hmm that's good, but I would have expected much lower. the k20a2 is good for 200hp stock right? and with your mods should be more. 220 hp? which should get you a better time than that. with an unimpressive 2.48 60' on my part, you have me beat by 9 tenths of a second.

like deciuss said, for 6 grand you can turbo, and even at low boost run those times, while maintaining reliability. don't get me wrong, i would love a k-swapped civic, but for my money a low pressure turbo can easily run 14.8 for a lot less.

A RSX is a low 15 second car, most people who swap their cars know that they shouldn't expect much faster, somewhere in the 14's.

With very little work its a easy 13 second motor/car (not one of these cars has upped the compresion to my knowlage, the top guys are running slicks, traction is an issue with the k series)

Quickest ET N/A Type S
01. 13.105 @ 103.89 - NSTLLMNGR
02. 13.154 @ 104.05 - edo
03. 13.296 @ 104.19 - HardcoreRsxS
04. 13.665 @ 100.12 - DC5 RSX
05. 13.668 @ 102.16 - eddie123
06. 13.793 @ 102.74 - peter
07. 13.803 @ 101.85 - MugenHonda
08. 13.852 @ 100.40 - jdkindle
09. 13.888 @ 103.67 - SSS
10. 13.948 @ 100.67 - HardWired71

let's all remember that Catalyst ran a 13.6 on the base sf kit with alcohol injection, at 9 psi, stock clutch and "crappy slicks" (said that his azenis grabbed better)

10psi

don't get me wrong 13.6 is damn impressive for a D17. I just like the sound of 12's....and 11's....

well, u should also realize that it was 10 psi with a clutch ... if catalyst ran with a 3 puck clutch on 10 psi, I'm sure it would be in the low 13's ... which isn't terribly off from a mid 12 ... he's also running 110 octane

Yeah im sure i can hit lower times. I still have a couple kinks to work out and i think my head gasket is fried, i need to check that out soon. ALos I have no front sway bar on there, when i get that im gonna get a traction bar. Alos i didnt heat my tires up at all. I was talking to a couple people on club rsx and they said with the azenias it worked out better launching around five grand. I leave for the military in 3 days so when i get back its greddy turbo

I think HardcoreMike is in the lead with 12.9 and weighs in at 2200lbs.

But Cell holds the record for fastest RSX. CN Stage 2 Turbo kit and he ran an 11.8

nice times man. honestly, all the members who waste their money on all show and have the slowest civics around should invest in K-series swaps. even the turbo guys should have saved up more and swapped. you get a more respectable car with a reliable engine and times that an SF turbo kit will get you at 5 PSI. if my car was not leased, i would save every penny for a K20A2. but im just gona take the easy way out and buy a type-s when the lease is done. to all the K-series members here, i respect you more than anyone else.
