I've never seen or heard of an S2000 doing 13.9 bone stock, but if it could do 14 flat, I dont see why a 13.9 wouldnt be possible. On the other hand, I personally have witnessed an entire group of SRT-4's (probably 5 or 6 total) all appearing to be stock, run 13.8's and 13.9's consistently when I was at the track one night. Now the S2000 may out power the SRT4 in HP but, without even looking, considering that the S2000's engine shares similarities with other hondas, I'd bet that the SRT4 out powers the S2000 in torque. Either way you look at it, both cars possess a nice amount of power and drivability. It would probably turn out to be a drivers race if you wanted to line both of them up to one another. It honestly doesnt matter to me though, I like both cars.

Rep Power: 0 i have a 02 civic(now my wifes car) and a 04 srt4 and the lowest i got my srt4 was 14.2 at the track bone stock. tire pressure good reaction time and weather conditions can make a big difference. srt4 can run 13.7 stock in perfect condition and perfect wheater with a perfect driver, trust me i tried. i raced a modded s2000 and still took him by half a car at about 110 mph on the express way.

But facts are facts its a fast car stock no doubt. Its just not fair how fast they have made it.
In terms of 1/4mile and 0-60 srt-4 and 350z have same times tested in sport compact car. I think s2000 falls in similar times.
I hate the SRT-4 for being so fast!

First off.... your car is FWD.. the S2K's are not... you have a definite advantage over him on the Freeway, on the freeway's that's where FWD rocks! it kicks major *** because it has basically no power transfer where as teh RWD car do.... try an modded S2K from a dig... see what happens then...

Wow not even experts are running 13.7 with the 2004 SRT4, there running betweeen 13.9 and 14.1.
There is no way we can compare an s2000 to a SRT4, S2000 is far more dynamic.

Yup... Its been said by Many a race car builder.... if you need to transfer a lot of power to the ground then FWD is not the platform you want.
and REDchirp, there is allways weight transfer... and it allways goes from the front to the back when you accelerate..... Equaling less traction on the front....

Rep Power: 271 I'm gonna put my 2 cents in and say the SRT-4 is a better car then the S2000 money-wise. Of course the S2000 is a better handling car then the SRT-4 because u have to remember that the SRT-4 is a $22Kcar new the S2000 is a $32,000 car new. Give me that extra $10k and i will give u an SRT-4 that would own an S2000 in all performance tests...

Rep Power: 0 i agree to what they said at the start of the thread. i've seen the SRT-4 be dominant over STI's at the track. sometimes it depends upon the driver on how the car performs. i've seen an evo lose to an STI, but the SRT-4 beat him. as far as performance mods i don't know what the SRT-4 was running on but he was hitting mid to low 13's consistently.

Rep Power: 280 Why would I buy an srt-4 over a s2000? I'd never do that, If I wanted SRT-4 type performance why don't I just drop a k24 in a civic and turbo it?
S2000 engine supposidly is even more robust then a the k20a, and the car is much much much more refined than an srt-4. Better enginnering better quality better looks, better performance. We shouldn't even dare compare an s2000 to a srt4.

So lets see SRT4 owners are the stupidest on the planet for comparing their $21,000 cars to $30,000 EVO VIII's. Which I agree is pretty idiotic since the EVO VIII is the god of cars (imo) and if I could afford one I surely would buy one.
So lets looks at how equally idiotic it is to compare a $32,000 2 seater sports car to a 4 door $21,000 sedan. It not the same. For waht it is the SRT4 is simply an amazing machine.
You can run low 14's stock just like an s2000. AND go on a family vacation with 2 kids and luggage. My friend races at the track with his babyseat still in his car. Not the same! dont compare! SRT4's competition is civic SI, spec v, mazdaspeed protege, focus svt. Its not its fault that it kicks those cars asses so bad that people end up comparing it to more expensive sports cars.
I have spent $1440 exactly on performance mods for my SRT4 and I run a 13.04@108.5mph on drag radials. Stock clutch, stock axles, stock turbo, stock intake. In my book thats pretty impressive.

Rep Power: 0 I think the SRT-4 is an awsome car regardless of the price. Nice shifter and strong engine gets . But, the car wasn't as fun to drive as some of the magazine atricles stated. I would buy the EP3 Si over the SRT-4 anyday.
