i was on my way driving home from work and this boxster s pulls up to me and looks at my car. he had the top down and was like, nice wheels. i heard him rev it up a little and he said, you wanna race? i was like, ok, why not. damn, why does everyone wanna race my crx? i think its probably the wheels. i posted my pics of my car up here somewhere. my mods are a i/h/e, dohc 2001 acura integra ls b18b crx and fabricated shift linkage, p/p, valve job, head milled 40 thousanths, crower 62403 cams. like i am in gsr vtec all the time. i am running 10.6 compression in addition to new forged pistons. original 81mm bore to 89mm stroke. got dynoed yesterday and the car makes 180 whp at 7000 rpms and 150 wtq at 5500 rpms. i havent run on at track yet with this new setup. but my original best time without the headwork and cams was a 2.2 60 ft and 8.7 at 83 mph on a 2000 lb car with me in it (full tank of gas). back to the story... i was practicing launching and then i stalled the car. whoops my bad. an embarrasing moment. he laughed. vroom vroom, wow i heard his engine rev to redline. big burly 3.0 liter flat 6 revving sounded scary vs my puny 1.8 liter. so i asked him if he would be easy on me. apparently he said no, he will race like he stole it. quote on quote. this was like a 30 y.o. guy i was dealing with. i said ok, i will race you. he then puts his top up and rolls up windows. i took a look at the other green light at the other intesection, waiting for it to turn yellow. then i would go when i turns green on my side. then the light on the other side turns yellow, i got really nervous and so i launched at 4000 rpms right when the light turns green. wheelspin, ahhhh! damn it. off we go and his rwd owned me. 1-2 he got it, 2-3, kind gained on me but then i gained on him, 3-4 GAINED ON HIM 4-5, PASSED HIS ***, 5- redline which is 140 mph as my speedo says, he was now about 3 cars behind me. holy **** i beat a porsche. we both shut it down at 140 but then i have to say, this was a tough race. glad i beat a porsche today, but a low end one. if you can run the tag, his the florida plate says FASTONE. lmao.

We have several hot CRX's around here, pushing as much as 200hp that can keep up, but not beat, an S2000 from a roll. But from the stop the S2k takes the day.

You either raced a poor driver in a boxster S, or it was just a regular boxster.

yeah i saw the "s" emblem so i could have been the s boxster. plus the s2k has better acceleration then the porsche boxster S i think since the boxster is 300 lbs heavier. remember 8.7@83 mph was the best time on the 8th mile. thats translates to like a 13.5 @ 105 mph in the quarter from what i hear. i know the s2k and the S can run it in 13.8 with good drivers. plus i know those cams i installed made a difference like i am always running on gsr vtec plus milling the head 40 thousanths. i am one of the fastest n/a ls crxs in central florida from what i heard in the track. some guy told me this without my cams and headwork yet.

not to do with that but we had ferrari day and a local track and one of my asian friends met up with one in his 350z. my best friend was like your not your not, holy **** you just beat a ferrari! so nice kill dude
