would this be enough to get me into the 14's?
would this be enough to get me into the 14's?
I never thought i'd be asking this, since i came originally from the mustang crowd- but i plan on getting a 2001 civic coupe ex for my wife. would this be enough to get the civic into the high 14's at least?
- I/H/E (not ****, good products that will give me decent gains)
-Gude Cams, cam gears
-50 or 75 shot of NX with purge system
if that's not enough, what would you recomend to do? thanks anyhelp is greatly appreciated.

yeah, with a 50 shot u'll be running mid-high 14's.....depending on driver.
But yeah, instead of spending the money on the cams, I/H and n2o, i would save for boost.

i went FI on all my mustangs, and my wife has driven one and never really did like it, she's really into only doing bolt ons...or is that me? actually, my wife hates modding and i'm the one doing it all...but i'd figure i'd do everything (maybe except for exhaust, she might find it annoying) including the nos, which would be my play thing for the civic. it's all MEMEME. thanks
btw civic01vtec, whos dat in your avatar? yummy

i say no to gude... just me, they are only good on the old 1.6 sohc... get crower custom grind if you want cam, dont really need cam gear, will never get more than 1-2hp on a sohc,. shoot 50 shot wet, get GOOD header, intake, exhaust, you will see 14.5-15.0 depending on how you launch and drive..

head work isn't a bolt on. Nitrous will get in you the 14's but it won't be a fast car unless you boost or get some engine work. Bolt ons won't do much. If you don't plan on boosting then my opinion is to get an injen cold air intake, HP racing header with high flow cat, a good exhaust (cough not DC sports!), and a wet kit. Bolt ons won't give you much. You could get DH racings trottle body and intake manifold since ours is plastic. Remove the AC and Powersteering components and get DH racing pully, if you want to go faster.

But my favorite is still Briana Banks.
by the way talking aobut pullys what do u guys think of the unorthodox ultra SS pullys the ps ac and alt. they are light as crap and they flywheel kicks *** as well i think like 6 punds weight!!!
the dh racing pulley does have a kit to allow you to retain your a/c and p/s. it just doesnt produce as much gains. (duh) lol
for the kinda $$ you're talkin about dh-racing.com has a built d17 for $2700 that seems to do really well. I seen 1 do low 9's in the 1/8 which is easily mid - low 14's in the 1/4.
heres what I copied off their site...

I'd put money down that you'd be some kinda 14's with that setup.

havent been on the track with mine but I beat a boosted 92 prelude that runs 9.0 in the 1/8 ... All I have is I/H/E no cat and a 55 wet shot ... I've been told that would be about 14.5 or 14.55on the qurter ... dunnofor sure tho ... I bet that DH longblock would put you closer to 14.0 than mid 14's ...
Hail to the king baby

yeah those mods can get you into the 14's but get the cam grind for nitrous applications.
You will run ckinda crappy on the street but great when you squeeze.
cam gear is not going to help you out..
check my mods and I can run in the 14's
if you can get going within the first 600 feet and not spin your tires, you will do o.k.
