I was driving down the street when i saw this accord it was a pretty nice 2 door like 94 accord and when i pulled up he was looking and laughing at me...so i was like hmmm...accord DTM exhaust and prob other **** has no chance against my spec-v so i was like ok since i cant very well launch my car i eased out of the hole then punched it he had like a car length on me i was like WTF then i got a good shift into second and pulled up on his side banged 3rd and pulled ahead of him by like a car length banged 4th and pulled more...i shut down at like 105..and he pulled up and was like nice car man and i was llike what u got he was like J-Spec (JDM) h22a (prelude motor) and he was running i/h/e he was like nice car man thats pretty fast i thought i was gonna smoke u until u banged second then i knew i was done for but i kept trying u smoked the **** outta me (BTW i was driving My 04 Spec-V)

Good run. People with h22a's think they have power. What they dont think of is the power to weight. You had a little less horsepower, but you made up in less weight.

People in accords can be a little cocky.

I remember this one time, some girl was driving one with her boyfriend in the passenger seat. I was driving normally, till they decided to do the Ricer Flyby with the mandatory flashing of the hazards. ::sigh::

oo Yea and Off-Topic But someone stole my license plate yesterday...during the day im at school the cars in the lot, at work its at the end of the lot backed in on a major road up a hill so it would be kinda obvious someone wit a screwdriver behind my car and i went to the mall for a couple minutes...i go to go my g/f's B ball game and i was like to my bro arent i supposed to have a real plate and i was like yea u did the other day i looked.....i sstill have my temp tag in the back window..i called the cops....the cop called me back asked my info and gave me some cocky attitude and said "we'll check into it"

My friend had an H22 in his 95 Accord, but it was auto and that wasnt too slow but it was definately NOT fast. But if it was manual, I think the Accord (if it really had an H22) would have pulled on you on the higher RPM's. Were you able to hear the cam switch over when VTEC hit?

yea im pissed about the plates......but now i can get my dare plate.....the VTEC on his car was pretty good and it was pretty god damn loud and he said i have an h22a....so i was like Prelude motor>? and hes like yea but the j-spec JDM one....but he said he only had a stock accord trans in it so that might be the problem......heres a pic of the plate i want......

yes there is no way that accord if he had an H22A with i/h/e should of lost to you. That will easily be pushing 220 to the wheels (it's rated 220 at the crank stock). That guy sucked *** at driving man.

You are a stock Spec-V with 195 at the crank (I'm pretty sure, rarley mix up my numbers). You should of lost by maybe 1/2 or 1 car lengths.

A stock Spec V has 175hp

and an prelude motor doesnt have 220 hp stock

i think the j-spec one do.. but the us-spec probaby have 200 or less i think not really sure i might be wrong.

The fact is, all JDM H22's are NOT created equal. The manual edition JDM H22's (which come in both Accords AND Ludes, I believe) have 220hp at the crank, but one's out of AUTO preludes or accords have significantly less (for some reason, 168hp is sticking in my mind, but that seems TOO low). So, if this guy had an auto, he probably wouldn't have the 220hp engine and if he DID make it work, he'd still have the disadvantage of an auto. It would make the most sense if the auto JDM H22 DID have 168hp and with those mods put down 180-something, making it a drivers race. Also, if he DID have a manual, that doesn't even guarentee, I don't think, that he necessarily had the 220hp version. It is true that if he had the 220hp version of the H22 and a manual trans w/ those mods, he SHOULD have won, but then again, my friend beat a Comptech S2k (supercharged for those who don't know) in his WRX because the S2k ran a 14.7!!! Driver is everything when it comes to cars that are close in speed.

Anyway, good run in the V.

BTW, A lot of us V6 stangs get the same crap from the V8 stangs as you do from the Accords, even though a lot of our cars can run with the 98- GT's. You just get used to it I guess... OK, not really, its still annoying

i thought u meant stock prelude (US) motor which is 200 or 195 but the j-spec has 220 i know that...also the guy was running a stock accord 5 spd trans with no clutch, or anything and now that i think of it he might not of had a header but i know he had i/e for sure bc he said that and he said full exhaust so i assumed that meant header

Well, sorry you'd rather just be a fan boy and use one of your 3 possible responses to any and all posts, but some of us would rather back our claims and stories with proof, whether it be numbers or mathematically logical thought. Oh, and of my literally hundreds upon hundreds of car magazines, I have literally 4 import tuner mags. Once again you ignored the fact that I drive a Mustang and just started babbling about import tuner mags.
