Impossible Goal?
Is it possible to make our cars beat base model Mustangs? How about LS Integras? This is a noob question, I know, but just a thought. Oh, and exclude any mods categorized under the wonderful world of forced induction.

I killed my friend's 2000 V6 Taurus, but, well..... it's a Taurus, and it's green.
I mean like the way FlyRiceRacer did. Just by being faster, not by driver error. How about Integras?

LOL, sorry, I can't keep up with all the cars that I beat Steve. But it had nothing to do with driver error when I beat the Stang. It was all me......LOL

a stock civic can take out certain models of the stock mustang.
a stock civic can beat an auto v6, and probably auto and manual of a v6 vert.
so in other words, you dont need any mods against any of those.
as for ls integra, you can have a chance at one, but they are probably a little bit faster.

Ls integras can be beaten stock vs stock only if you are manual and they are auto. 5 spd vs 5spd they will slowly pull.
As for mustangs...I will race an auto v6 any day....5spd v6ers are faster stock vs stock.
Regular CAI, Hp headers, and a decent catback will:
1. solidify your chances of winning against the auto integra
2. might give you a chance at beating the 5spd teg
3. will allow you to pull pretty easy on a v6 auto stang
4. will still have you losing to the 5spd stang
....i hate to say it man, but...without FI your car is slow... that is considering that you only want bolt ons and do not want to build the engine. Add a new chip, a vafc 2, better rubber, slight weigh reduction, and a SS and you will have much better luck possibly beating the 5spd stang v6

Mustang V6 1/4 Mile Times (Stock)
1994-1998 (145-150hp/220ftlbs)
5sp Coupe: 16.0-16.5 (driver depending)
+.5 for Vert
+.5 for Auto
1999+ (190hp/225ftlbs)
5sp Coupe 15.1-15.5 (Decent driver... best known by Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords: 14.994)
+.5 for Vert
+.5 for Auto
Now, you must assume that these can be slightly better or significantly worse, depending on driver. I (00 5sp Coupe)recently ran a 15.5 my first time to the track with basically exhaust, heavy 17" Bullitt wheels, half tank of gas, and a crappy 2.331 60ft. This means I could definately run a 15.1 or better getting my 60ft down to 2.0 or so, which is possible. However, another 2002 or so V6 Vert Auto ran consistent 17.5's with at least exhaust and rims, therefore proving that driver is everything.
So, stock, you could probably beat a lot of 98- Stangs and several 99+ Auto or Auto Verts, but the manual coupes will require some mods. Good luck, and take it to the track.

and we are talkin about v6's here not a GT or cobra, ive been in v6's drove them and i know what they can do, and in know what i can do with my car too
C2, not only would the V6 pay you up front, he would be sucking ur **** too...GT's would be alarmed, I would tell you that much about C2's car. I drove it a month ago. For a 2k1, I was impressed.
Well, that makes more sense that he's boosted. Like I said, he can say it if he has lots of mods, and I guess he does
My comment still stands though that if you hung with or beat one STOCK, it wasnt a 99+ 5sp assuming a decent driver. Like you said, I know what the Mustangs can and cannot do, and I'm not afraid to tell you about the 2002 Mustang that ran consistent 17.5's at the track. I just get tired of people not giving a car its due credit. Low 15's w/ a car that can be had for $13k brand spanking new is pretty good. Just like I defended a Spec-V guy against some H22 fan boy who said no stock Spec-V could EVER beat ANY stock H22. I know you guys get that kind of crap from people all the time being 'just civics' so you probably see where I'm coming from and hope you can understand that I have nothing against anyone here, I am merely trying to educate those who make naive generalizations on things that they don't know or have overlooked, whether it be Stangs or Spec's or even Civics. I am a car enthusiast first, a Mustang enthusiast second. Hopefully I got my point across and that it didn't seem to point fingers at anyone or any group, because that wasn't the point.
OT: BTW, what kind of numbers are you putting down and what are you running at the track???
