I was heading home from work one day at like 9pm and it was below freezing. So since the air was so cold, I think to myself, this is probably the best time to see what my car can do.

So i go to this open stretch of highway and floor it from light, going away from my house. I only get to 105 before i have to break for traffic. I pull a U and try it again this time i get to 115 before i have to turn for home. Little did i know that while doing that i had passed a sheriff in an undercover chevy blazer S-10.

So i head home thinking everything is cool. Right as i turn into my court the sheriff comes out of no where and turns on his lights. He had followed me for like three miles. He walks up to my window and we talk. He luckily wasnt clocking me on the highway but he clocked me on three different roads, going 20 mph over the posted limits on all three roads!

I thought i was soo screwed. When he returned from his car he hands me a WARNING!!! for excessive speeding and faiure to present registration and says he did this because i was polite and seemed to know what i did was wrong.

I love cops. I got off scott free going and i thank God everynight for sparing me.

I would have to defend myself on that. Going over a hundred just to test my car is something im sure everyone on this site has done atleast once and it was on a open highway, it wasnt like i was weaving through traffic. Also, the speeding on the other roads i was doing like 50 is a 35 and 55 in a 45 on roads that i knew and where there was no traffic so it wasnt dangerous to anyone but myslef. The roads hav lower than normal suggested limits which everyone in my neighborhood breaks.

You live in Maryland. Try getting caught by a cop in Cali doing that stuff and walking off with a warning-- they'd probably shoot you or something.

That true man. MD is pretty lax when it comes to cops specially where i live. And that is why i am kinda glad i dont live in cali.

You're right...you got very lucky. I got lucky with one cop too...seriously just be polite, cuz remember they deal wih all types of people all day long, and you know no matter where you work out of 100 ****head people and 1 nice one you'll remember that person and help them out

That goes to show you that being mean to cops is a No no...the other day this kid i know was driving after he smoked a lil (weed that is) with his pipe laying right in his ashtray and a ton of stuff in the trunk, he gets pulled over going 25! over and the lady cop gives him a warining! That kid is an idiot btw, the werid thing is that cops around here aren't nice at all so i dont know how the hell that happened to him.

yea.. well the wider the roads are.. the more likely ill floor it.. if its really narrow.. i wont go that fast, even tho i drive a civic... i always fear moving cars.. not stationary ones
