im sure with catalyst new turbo system.. or the old one with alcohol, and a car with diet can hit high 12's

When my mkiv was stock it was boosting around 11lbs, same goes for my brother's mkiv when he was stock as well.HeartSoul: You're absolutely correct about that. If you visit some of the domestic forums, there have been quite a few 03 cobra owners running mid 12's bone stock with timeslips to boot. We recently had a dyno day over in La Habra at Dynamix. There were two stock 03 cobras that showed up. Both consistently put down 360whp - 370whp
Not shabby eh. Driver is everything when it comes to the new Cobra, or any other car really for that matter. My friend put down a couple 13.2's (best 60ft of 2.3) his first time to the track in his stock 03 Cobra, but he also put down a 14.1 (missed a gear) and a 15.1 (got a "hot tip" to dump the clutch at 2k). Anything can happen. It seems though that this 7th gen won not because of driver error, but becuase he has one fast Civic.

I'm glad there are quite a few people that back me up on this...
Cat, you didn't reply to my comment on if you had a timeslip with a 111mph trap for your car....
And about Mytsic's comments, I've seen the vehicle he is speaking of and the install was done fine. For whatever reason, it wasn't what everyone said it would be (quality-wise)... I know for a fact the owner is not too happy with all of it after spending soooo much money on it....
No offense though, I respect Mike quite a bit as he has a large part of all the decent, affordable turbos for 7th gens that are out there. If it wasn't for SF, there would be quite a few less turbo's out there... and that, you have to respect of anyone...

only the 03 and 04 cobras are supercharged...the 390 hp and torque isnt very accurate though...they have more hp and torque than that from what u see from dyno numbers. the % loss through drivetrain to wheels is too low from teh 390 number

those things are rated at 390hp from the facotory, they are one of the most underrated cars. they dont lose much hp to the wheels. but they also weigh over a 1000lbs more than the civic ex. so if u can get an ex to run upwards 250hp id say u could take one

Havok, i dont have a 1/4 mile timeslip simply because i have had not time to go to the track since i finished my kit. I am busy making 8 turbo kits and making sure they get to the customers before xmas.
Also, here, the trap speeds for the cobras are significantly lower. We are in the middle of a desert, and at 3000 ft. The trap speed is usually about 106-108.
And his cobra is completely stock. It doesnt even have a filter.

It really doesn't matter, because an 03 Cobra is street legal. The turboed civic is not. Also, I doubt you can consitantly run faster than cobras just because of the difficulty of launching a turbo econobox.

Difficulty of launching a turbo econobox...... and I'm sure that you think that any joe schmoe can easily launch 390 lb/ft of torque off the line on their cobra? Neither car is more difficult to launch than the other, so..... riiiight.
And how do you know his civic isn't street legal? Not all places carry emissions restrictions. For example, in upper parts of wisconsin, there is no emissions testing, so who gives a crap what you do to your car up there?
Think before you speak, and don't be such a *****.

It doesnt matter which is street legal. If you want to get technical, changing just about anything on our cars is illegal in california. So ok.... you add a "legal" legal intake and a "legal" exhaust. now your 127 crank hp car is up to 132. Ok, now you can barely beat a stock one.
Lets please stay away from the whole street legal aspect.
