its impossible to find a good race... either from a roll or a stop...but in my civic everyone and their mother wanted to race me why is that?

People only want to race cars that they can beat. to alot of people a WRX is out of their legue so they go pick on a "SLOW" civic.


Personally I've beaten quite a few drivers of WRX's. I say drivers becaues the car is capable but the driver wasn't, and using the steering wheel takes a bit more skill then using the gas.

i know the feeling. i used to see people all over the place just cruisin around, but ever since i got my Si, seems to be a shortage ive only really raced a handful of people since i got it in june. oh well i guess

Of course no ones gonna want to race a WRX from a stop, the beauty of all wheel drive. I sometimes question if id ever want a Supra, Skyline, RX7 etc cause sure you'd have a fast car that can beat lots of people. But no one would ever race you. Thats why i love my mazda, everone looks over and laughs (they have done that) thinking they are gonna own me. But when i put a few buslengths between us they don't seem to be laughing anymore

4 cylinders + 5 gears + 1 turbocharger + 1 2400 lb car = zoom zoom

well i dunno.. i mean ill race anything that wants to bring it... weather it is a pinto or a supra.. i dunno.. im usually not the aggressive type, but if someone wants to run, ill do it.. i dont mind if i lose... but seriously.. its funny watching ppl with tons of money invested into their vehicles and no driving skills... i seen that a lot when i went to the track... lots of these nice 3rd gen rx7's getting 15's.. shame... cause they are twin turbo they should be at least hitting 13's and 14's

i hear ya. like this kid with a supra fixed up like no other that was running high 14's...he had MASS money in this thing and should have been hitting 12's (his daddy gave the car to him all fixed up). what a tool...then he wrapped it around a tree

i try to get their attention by beeping and holding out 3 fingers (for the 3 beep then go method of rolling start) but nobody wanna play.
i dont like 5speed anymore since this car will have enough invested in it to make it a low 11/ high 10 second car...when my warrenty is long gone.

some people are conceded in wrx. i had a wrx pull up behind me and he thought he was banging. i was in my moms 00 celica, the first yr of the new model. it was auto and i wasn't racing or nuttin, cuz there was tons and tons of traffic, rush hour. this guy thinks his the ****, he sits at the light, revving his engine up like he is the pimp. i just go slow, and when the light turns, i go slow and then push on the gas real fast and leave him in the tracks, and then he slams on his gas and i hear him catch up and then i have to stop cuz theres traffic. then he keeps revving thinking hes the ****. i remind u, this is a stock celica gt. i wish people would crash there cars so they can learn that they aren't as cool as they think. it was stock anyways, so if i was in my modified civic i would have laughed at him as he drove by revving, lol. probaby would have revved on him and then just let my car start to roll backwards and scare the **** out of him, hahaahahahahha

i raced a 04 wrx a few months ago.Was good fun. I was going home from a friends house that lives in a rural area of KY, about an hour from louisville. low and behold 1 gas station in this small town. Out pops a White WRX. I was LIKE UH OH! we raced through the twisted I passed him coming out of a 90 degree turn. hehe. Down back roads. Azenis really save the day, nothing like riding around on a autocross tire! for a stock car they do grip the road really well.we come up to another road we both make a right this is a 4 lane 2(going each way). we get stuck behind some ppl. but we get away to get to a red light.. i was thinkin ah oh. He gets a car on me in first and BAM. i click second feather it so i won't spin to bad and i rip four car lengths on him. HIS FACE was priceless. We hit it off on the hwy 2 or 3 more times with the same result. He fellowed me home to see what i had done to my car. I gave him a ride and said it was the fastest car he had ever been in. He also told me he liked to ride around his buddies 500hp supra, but he thought my car would smash it.

I actually get revved up more often now then when i was in my 94 all-show sentra. It's different going around nowadays; you never know when you'll run into supercar-killer like cheesefrog.

also it never fails that i can go out in the beater and see 10 ricers to race

ill come home and get my car real quick and go back out, absolutley nothing on the road but cops, ill be damnd i wish we could have some cool cops and just race them for fun
