Thank God for ABS...

so i'm driving to work today in my 02 Si. I'm on a 4 lane road, 2 lanes each way. i'm in the far right lane. the left lane in the direction i'm going is really really backed up...all the cars are stopped..and my lane is totally free (cuz im turning right at the upcoming light) so im cruisin down this lane and i am on alert, because i know that someone is gonna dart over in my lane to beat the traffic...well no one does.. but what does happen is this ford focus from the other two lanes is tryin to turn into a driveway or something. he pokes his front end out out of nowhere...since im on the alert i slam on the breaks (i could feel ABS kickin!!) swerve a little, then keep going safely. when i stopped up ahead i leaned out my window, looked back and screamd ("F--- you!!!") the guy next to me was laughin hard, and after i calmed down i laughed pretty good too

YOu can break just as hard if not harder in a car that dosn't have ABS, It just takes more skill. Anyway, good dodge! thats what ABS is for.

True...but in a panic situation ABS is nice. Also I love it in the winter. I was breaking once and hit a patch of ice....I probabably would not have been able to react as fast as the abs did that time. So in my opinion a good thing to have for everyday driving.
