Cool First Try @ Track

alright.... first time ever at the track with this car... 1st run too.. only had time for 1 run... lines were WAY long... so anyways... for mods i got

Auto Transmission =o\
Injen CAI
DC ceramic headers
Tanabe racing medallion exhaust
Tein SS coilovers

First time... R/T was .846
1/4 was 17.503 @ 79.57

They lined me up with a newer mustang.... i had him off the light by a .15 .... but of course the mustang beat me.... he got a 16.251, but i thought i did good for my first try.... i'll be going more often now.
I know my 17.5 is slow... i'm not saying i'm fast or good... so dont hate... lol c'ya

17.5 on an auto
is this an EX or LX?

if yours is an LX, now we know that the header
can give you a better time by about 0.4ths of a second.. pretty good

i gotta 17.9 with similar mods (i/e)

IS IT BETTER TO PUT IT ON 2ND AND RUN THE GEARS YOURSELF OR JUST LEAVE IT IN 3RD OR DRIVE AND TO WHAT RPM DO YOU REV IT TO WHILE HOLDING THE BRAKE?

damn dude
well that would work if I was runninga 5spd and i was still getting in the 17s, then you could call ME "you suck" personally

but guessing that I have an AUTOMATIC, where you can NOT control the gears, I dont think you can say that "i suck at driving"

and to the guy who "drove your automatic" i want to hear how you did it

i ran a 17.9 with a few boltons.. if our settings were the same.. that would prove that

I actually just got back from the track tonight! It was my first time as well....I ran 3 times. The very first time I ran a 17.6 I believe. Second time was a 17.4, third time 17.5. R/T's were weird. .78 something for the first two. Third said something like .285 or something. Not sure if I was under or what. Anyhow, I keep hearing that 17.4 is good for a stock vic. The only thing I have done is complete suspension upgrade, and upgraded charging / grounding wires (to 4 gauge).
