me and my friend were cruisin and decided to go at it. he has a 95 coupe with intake and apexi N1 exhaust. i have a 02 coupe with intake and hks axle backexhaust. well sadly he beat me every time. everytime we hit 3rd gear he would dust me. so much for hks giving out 5hp according to them. anyways we go at it 3 times. the 1st time the road was curving so i was like screw it. the next time it was good for both of us but he took me by 3rd gear. the 3rd race was rolling and i had him big time..but then again in the top end he finished me off.

heres the stupid part. we didnt realize there was a cop going the opposite direction so my friend in an rsx behind us calls me on my phone and warns me, but i didnt get it coz my phone fell on the floor but my other friend with the 95 coupe got it and dipped out. so i was cruisin and didnt think anything was wrong while my friend dipped out and tried to get a way. the cop had to make a u-turn so i guess my friend thought he can get a way. then next thing you know im turning and im hearing this screeching noise on my left. the cop was passing me on my left while making a right turn to get my friend. i actually thought some car was about to side swipe me. but anyways, surprisingly he could have gotten me but he didnt. so i just busted a U and went the other way. the cop though i had a gsr and he obviously knew we were racing.

i think the fact that i had slowed down and had a black car help make his decision. my car was not as easily seen as a white car. plus i was goin speed limit by the time he caught up to me. one thing i learned though..NEVER race on the streets. i normally dont race to begin with. but i was stupid this time so i did. plus i thought it was a good race and it was actually even though i lost. but the important thing is. im not doing this anymore! its stupid and not really worth it. i should be old enough to know this but apparently i wasnt

You are how you drive. 5 hp can be anywhere in the power band. It could be in low end, sense you had your friend in the beginning. Dont start blaming products if you only have I/E.

well i dont claim to be a good driver since i hardly ever race or go fast to begin with so if thats what u mean by i am how i drive then you're right but if not then i donno what you're talking about. i did shift right before redline so you guys tell me what im doing wrong then. im not blaming the whole thing on hks i was only reading what they said about their exhaust making 5hp, i didnt really expect 5hp to begin with from an axle back exhaust. but i do think that he had the advantage by having a full catback exhaust over my axle back even though its probably not much, im sure he has a better top end due to exhaust. and as for my friend he got a wreckless ticket, the speed limit was 40 and he was goin 70. i dont know how the cop managed to clock him on radar since he was driving the opposite direction when he saw us and i highly doubt he had time to pull out his radar.
