First Post with a question :)
Hello,
First off I'd like to say I've been reading this forum quite a bit before I decided to post and I've been modifying my 01 Civic EX Sedan for a while now.
Currently I have the following..
HP Racing Header
Racing downpipe (no cat converter)
Fireball Exhaust
Cold Air Intake
AEM Underdrive Pulleys
Short Shifter
Cam Gear (To be installed)
17 Inch Rims on some weird name brand soft compound tire (just trying to wear em out to get better tires
X Brace, and front/rear upper braces on the way.
Anyways....
My buddies talked me into going to the drag strip tomorrow night and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me, or any tips/quirks I should know about the Civic's in drag racing.
Thanks Guys

its really only that, some people sit there and make it a big deal on how to launch. high revs and dump the clutch, thats it!

No body kits or anything like that yet... waiting to replace the rear bumper where someone hit me (so I don't care about the muffler eating into it

Try launching at 3000 rmps. If you bog go a little higher, or if you spin (and you shouldnt) drop a few rpms. You have to find what launch is best for you. You might want to practice before you bet who will win though.
