Had a little fun tonight! *More pics!
My dad got a hold of a preproduction 2004 Cadillac XLR for the night...Sweet car
Everybody does this
when you drive by in it...lol
It's FAST, and it looks sweet! I drove it around for a bit and I was impressed. It has a base price of $76,200
Here are a few pics... My cam isn't that great at night shots so I'll try and get some tomorrow morning.

Theres the 'vic hiding in the background...I think it's scared of the Caddy! lol

Hey i just gotta idea....tell yo dad to let me borrow the car so that i can SELL it and get 4 7thgen coupes with it!!!! YEa tell him that hit me up!! okay let's MAKE A DEAL!!!!!
haha yeah that thing is badass... I only wish we could keep it. It's based on the C6 Vette.
Too much money for what it is though IMO... Maybe 50 or 60k... 80k is insane! I guess you're just paying for the bling factor.

He's an executive at GM and they let them "evaluate" preproduction cars, just so they can iorn all the bugs out before they are mass produced. The dealers don't even have any yet because there have only been a handfull made.

Tell your dad I'll be stealing his job anytime now.
That is one Cadi I wouldn't mind owning/driving. I'm not really a Cadillac fan, Escalades and the CTS do nothing for me, but this is
. Be sure to post pics when your dad rolls into the neighborhood with the C6, 'k???

Um, am i the only one who is confused as to why a $75k dollar car doenst come with HID? Or am i just completely wrong to think those lights look cheap at night? Look like stock civic bulbs for driving lights. I sure hope that the car WILL have at least 4800K bulbs for that price. My car was less than half that price tag and i have amazingly clear driving lights. Other than that, taking it AS A CADILLAC it is a very beautiful car. but as a 2 seater roadster there are a LOT of other cars that are higher on my list, especially for the price....
Actually, it has beautiful HID. My camera just wasn't able to capture it. It isn't a really deep blue, but I would compare it to the stock HID on BMWs.
Yeah the top comes down... Don't have any pics of it though sorry.
I totally agree with you about the price. I couldn't believe that they're trying to sell a Caddy for that price, but like I said, IMO you're paying more for the "bling" factor. Kind of like the Lexus roadster.
I'm not sure how many they will be selling because of the price. It's almost as much as a 911!

One of those is already sold to a guy that my dad does business with. He already put 72K down on it, just waiting to pay teh taxes and destination charges on it. Been preordered for over a year now. Thats some crazy cash to lay down without ever even seeing one....
I retract my last statement abotu the lighting then. Just looked too cheap to me from the pics, probably has a similar lighting system thats in my Z then. Crystal Clear white light once they are charged up i assume? Probably just the CCD in your digital camera that was picking up the yellowish tint or something like you said....

Now that you have seen one in person, how do you open the doors. Do you need to press a button on the FOB Key or do you just need to get close to it and it will automatically open the door?

They're not slow either, I'd say they're a mid-low 14 sec car.
I sure wish my car was newer
