03 si with mods or 03 v6 5/manual?

hey guys i got a vivid blue 03 SI with hondata flash, hondata heatsheild gasket and AEM CAI

i went to the track with 1100 mile on the car and got 4 runs in. it was abou 100+ degree weather and this was the first time at the track with my SI. during the day i ran shitty but *** it cooled down at night i got better times.

first run i got 16.233 / i messed up at launch but any ways i got that at 87mph
second run i got 16.045 / that was at 0 rpm almost stalled on the line hahahaha at 88mph
third run i got 15.675 / i lowered my tire presure from 35 to 30 launched at 5000 rpm 88mph
fourth run i got 15.721 / launched at 3 with lower tire pressure (30) 87mp

when i was there i saw a V6 accord with 5/manual get a 15.8 <--- i think bad driver

i was just wondering if any of you guys know the factory spec of a V6 5speed manual

03 Si is 16.1

If the accord was an 03 v6 and manual it was a 6 speed not 5, only the 4cy. came with 5 speeds. And he should of gotten a better time than that. Well maybe not.

Are u asking if you could have beat him?

Was this a brand new '03 V6 6 speed coupe??? If not, it was a 4cyl 5 speed, in which case that would not be a bad time. If it was a V6-6, that guy needs to learn how to drive, as those are hitting mid-high 14s bone stock. I don't think you will be touching one of those without some FI.

it was most likely a 4banger accord. The 6gen accord V6 never came in stick and the new 7gen accord comes in 6spd manual or 5spd auto. And just to let you know...i don't even think you can keep up with an auto 7gen V6. That thing runs as quick as a RSX-S.

The "V6" emblem in the back was red??? Or the car? If it was a red emblem, and it was the newer body style coupe, then it was a V6-6 whose owner can't drive to save their life. And J30A1 is right, even the auto 7th gen V6 accords can occasionally dip into the high 14s.

if the V6 emblem was red then it was a 6sp. those things haul ***. i would only try and race one just to witness its quickness. Our si with hondata should edge out a v6 auto or be neck and neck.

si w/hondata and intake vs new accord v6 automatic would be a good race.

i would try this 26th but damnit gotta go to a wedding in san diego!!!!

is fontana by san diego? i'll go if its close enough,

i want to see if i could get a better time than 15.6 heheh

but yeah the emblem was red not the car. it look like he got a good take off but i dont know if he was wheel spinnin for 1st and 2nd because it sure didnt sound like it.

any ways do you think i could hang with a stock RSX type-S? my SI with hondata flash, hondata heat sheild gasket and a AEM CAI? my best time was 15.6 i know i could get better than that, it was my first time to the track with the SI so i didnt know how to launch it and where i should shift!!!

max torque is 6800 but car redlines at 7700 (i've seen it go to 8000). should i shift at 6800 or should i at leaste go to 7500?

all the runs i did i went to 8000 each gear! i have 1500 miles on car now and my dads going to vegas with it tomorrow, i should have at leaste 2500 miles on it by the 26th, the only problem now is skip reception and go to the races or respect my girls cousin wedding and stay? hmmmm....... we'll see!!!!

hmmm....thats actually a good question. If you shifted at 6800 you wouldnt really be using the powerband advantage of the hondata flash, BUT....maybe that would show if the fuel and ignition mapping made a significant difference as compared to a stock si or one with just an intake. I'm intrested in a Hondata run shifting at 7200. (6800 actual)
