Track Experience: Civic, Neon, Camaro & Cops Later @ 10
Hey guys, I took a ride out to the track last night with my friend Joey (01 Dodge Neon SE). We went to watch the trophy runs and ran our cars through a few times. My best time for the night was a 17.1 (all stock cept for fart pipe) and his was an 18.5 (axel-back exhaust). No real grudge match goin on just to prove that I would beat him. Anyways we watched the end of the races until this one last car came up to run. I believe it was a '69 Camaro. Everyone's expression from first view was the usual 'oh another drag car" look. So the tree drops its lights 1,2,3 GO 7.6 seconds later the Chevy's at the end of the track. Now everyone is like 
as well as myself. It was really awesome. Thats the fastest I've ever seen any car go in person. So that topped off my night. LAter on that night round 10:15 we were driving on LA 1 around Napoleonville, LA (going home from the track). MY buddy Joey was following, as we pass through this lil town part of the city we are going around 52-55 mph. A few miles out of town we are back on a stretch of LA 1. All of a sudden I see these blue lights comin from behind, passing up Joey and coming after me. So i pull over, cop gets out grabs my liscense/reg, ins. I then notice Joey pass goes past me and awhile later turns around and goes back the other direction to goto a gas station we had just passed. The cop gets in his car for like 20 mins. Meanwhile I look back in my mirror and notice two more cops near the gas station so I'm like oh no what now? The lights near the station shut off and the cops take off. Then joey pulls behind the cop that pulled me over. Supposedly the two cops that pulled over Joey tried to say we were drag racing. Finally the cop gets out to talk to me. I see he has a ticket written out for 54 in a 30. So i'm like OMG. He starts to say the "you are being charged blah blah.. doing 50blah in a 30blah. blah blah blah blahblibibty blah. I attempt to persuade him that I was not intentionally speeding because I was following the flow of traffic in front of me who he says he didnt clock. This guy just wouldn't budge. After that he writes up Joey for the same violation. Both of our liscenses were taken and we have to pay the fine or appear in court to get them back. So now we're driving around with this temp liscense until we can go pay. My g/f knows a good bit about driving and ticketing laws and what not. From what she said, the radar number on both of our tickets was not wrote down so may be considered and incomplete ticket and may be voided. Anybody else know anything about that? Any help would be appreciated. Well thats my story. Motto to it is.. Speeding isn't worth it, even when you don't know you're speeding. Be good kids.
