Hardly. lease: There are more than a handful of domestics that can be beaten by civics.

People aren't naming EVERY domestic they've beaten.

But the civic can beat plenty of current as well as previous domestic cars. Cavaliers, focuses, neons, sunfires, etc, etc. It's the sport compact market. Hell if you wanna count avengers, and the plymouth breeze, and ford escort, and all the other crap that teenagers buy and rice out, you can throw that in there too.

I thought we couldn't go "off topic". Saying Avengers and Breeze's are crap and "rice out", is the same type of thing the other guy said about the S2000. Why don't you start a new thread about that? There needs to be some uniform policing of threads.

Anyway, alot of Neons, Cavs, and Grand Ams can beat a Civic. Not saying all the time, but those would be some close races. I've driven my friends Neon with intake/exhaust and compared to the EX it feels faster. The Civic is not very fast...and most domestics can easily hang with it although they are close races...except for a Geo or something.

My friend has a 2000 Neon...its newer and i think the same engine as the current ones. I can't remember numbers but its got about 130hp and more torque than a Civic. Its not that bad actually. He has intake/exhaust and it moves for a base Neon. The old ACR's would kill a Civic.

I've driven it, never raced. I think it would beat a Civic...drivers being equal.

I think he's talking about the SRT-4........not the regular neons.

My response was to someone who posted a question about imports vs domestics, so maybe you need to read the entire thread and not just what you want to see.

Call it argumentative moderating. Considering this thread has already and continues to go there.

the only way you beat a v6 stang or camaro is if it was auto and you have a manual and even then its a close race.

hey guys he found a way to beat a camaro in a d17 civic im sure the people who want their civics to be fast would love to know how you did it because unless you used a high shot of n20 or have a built k20 its not going to happen.
