i ordered a front EX sway bar from hondawerx (greg) on december 11. i paid him through paypal on that wednesday because he told me on aim that he could talk to his guy at honda on thursday and then ship the bar to me on the next monday (16th). he said he would ship it UPS ground 5-7 days and assured me that it would get here. i knew about the christmas delays and everything that could happen this time of year. so then counting 5-7 days not counting weekends, christmas eve, or christmas day, the bar should have gotten to my house either the 23rd, 26th, or 27th. throughout this time i would check up with greg on aim about how this bar was doing, but he generally did not give me an answer. well it is now the 28th and i talked to greg again because the bar had not arrived. he would not give me a UPS tracking number because he said that the UPS computers were all messed up. well anyway... he just sent me an email saying that someone at honda messed up and he had not received the bar yet. now i would not mind if it was just a UPS delay... but he never told me that he did not get the bar from honda until today. i sent him the money early so that he could talk to the honda guy and get the bar and ship it before christmas. now he tells me that the bar should ship on monday or tuesday on 3 day air. he's trying to tell me that its not his fault and there was nothing that he could have done. now it could have not really been his fault at all, but i still want to know what is happening because i find it rediculous that its going to take close to 4 weeks for me to get a sway bar. i thought the whole point of me signing up for paypal and paying him early was so that i could get my bar in before christmas. i did some extra work on my part to pay early but he did nothing to get my order in like he said. just to make things clear... there were no shipping delays to date... so he cant hide behind UPS
This was a special ordered item... When you made an inquiry on stock there were three in the country available. from time of original inquiry til time of payment. ones had been sold from sthe nearest location, So my supplier had to pull from an alternate location... why did it take so long??? crap..i wish i knew?!!! I know they were running odd shipment schedules, so their could have been problems there....
I only did not find out it hadnt shipped when it was supposed to til i had pestered my supplier . I was told that he couldnt get his UPS tracking working right, and the computer had crashed. So wheather this was to cover for a fowl up..i dont know...soundls like it to me...
I never attempted to hide behind UPS...just relayed the information i was given.
I am also paying for 3 day air out of pocket to try to get the part in sooner...meaning this is a non profit sale for me in the end.
As you may have noticed...there have been some delays with OEM special order parts and bad reviews.... This REALLY bugs me, because im doing my part, and my supplier seems to be not lately... [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG]

well he just sent me an email saying that the bar was shipped out to me on the 2nd...
but he sent me a email last week saying that he was going to ship on monday the 30th or tuesday the 31st.
i mean some holiday delay was expected but this is just too much.

you know what... i cant tell ups what days to take off! so please think before bashing me..feel free to rant on UPS all you like. ive been doing everythung and anything i can to get you your item ASAP... i already had it 3 day aired in to help the process, cuttting out any profit, i ave also returned ALL your emails promptly. If you think a local dealer would have gotten it any faster (minus the time it take to ship from me to you youre wrong. the issues of delay are with Hondas and UPSs conflicting work days and holiday shedules right now. Thank god the sheduling is now back in order.
i never said anything about UPS and neither did your email. You told me that you shipped my bar to me on the 2nd. That means you gave the bar to UPS to ship to me on the 2nd right? So that would be your delay and not UPS's right?
