I gotta tip my hat to the guys over at ProCivic.com. Holy ****.

Backstory: it's been hot as ***** here in Vegas. Noticed my mugen style window visor chattering. Notice that the adhesive was lifting from the B pillar. Upon closer inspection, got a nice warp mark in the top center of the visor, and the chattering was actually the inner edge chattering against my window. Odd thing is only one of the 4 visors warped. Look up warranty information on ProCivic's website, nothing about warranty. So, I decide to e-mail them.

E-mail exchange went on, the guy answering my e-mails was more than professional and very pleasant to interact with. Asked me questions to get to the bottom of it, the first asking if I noticed it after a few weeks of hot weather. Told him, yeah, it's been 100-110F for a few weeks and he states he's going to try his hardest to get this replaced under warranty. He gets with the manufacturer, and they say that it's impossible for natural heat/sunlight to warp these. I get asked if I tried to use a heat gun to try and mold it in place. Nope. I'm dumb, but not that dumb. So the dude changes his tone from "I'm going to try to get this warrantied" to "we'll make sure this gets warrantied." He sends me an e-mail on 7/22 saying that the manufacturer had spare visors and were sending it my way to the address on my original order. Only thing that sucks is the address on my original order is my old house. I ask him to see if they can send it to my new house, and he said he was gonna try to get that addy changed before they send it out. I get a response back from dude today, saying that it's already been delivered to my old house, and it was too late to get that address changed. Literally 15 minutes later, my roomie pops in and asks if I ordered anything in a big box that might've gotten sent to the old house (and also said he'd go grab it for me since he was gonna be in that area). Gotta say, these dudes don't play around when it comes to taking care of their customers. Guy responded to all of my emails well within 24 hours. All the back and forth questions is the only reason this entire transaction took all of 11 days from initial contact to delivery of item. I've had longer waits for things I've ordered.

tl;dr:
  • Visor warps, contact ProCivic
  • Dude asks questions about what might've caused it, makes damn sure it gets replaced under warranty
  • Literally 2 days (really, 1.5 days) from when he said manufacturer had spares to send out to when I received it
  • 11 days total from initial contact to receipt of the replacement
  • Dude I was talking to was amazing to work with via e-mail
