Exclamation Upset with Robear Racing and Customer Service.

I bought a lip kit from them a couple weeks ago took them a while to send it not a big deal. But here is where the problems start.

First email i get from them... explains that the lip kit i ordered they are out of stock so basically i get tossed into buying another one that is at the same price

Lip out of STOCK! but yet still shows available for purchase.


Lip i had to buy to recover from the non stock one...

Couple weeks go buy im waiting for winter to be over to install this stuff, finally i get ready and bring it to the shop, they call me explaining theres a fitment issue.
I go down there and the lip is off about an inch from the bumper i contact Robear only to find this.

Sorry But ABS lips require some work to get it to match properly.

So i find out now that i cannot exchange my lip with robear what would you guys do in this occasion? Heres the second e-mail i received.
ABS lips cannot be returned unless the wrong one was sent. It should have a label on the inside of the lip.

Is it the one for your car?

I like Rob but this experience shocked me coming from them... now i have a lip that doesn't fit on my car and probably will need to spend another $100 to get a different lip!

Key words are HAS BEEN. Not anymore. I had a similar experience trying to get sidemarkers a while back. his paypal was setup completely wrong on the site and i sent a payment to an old email address i figured out, only to realize that a week later, nothing had happened. no tracking, no payment confirm, nothing. I try calling 10 times during business hours, they are IMPOSSIBLE to reach over the phone. when it wasn't busy, the machine picked up. I got so pissed i cancelled the paypal and when straight to ebay. I was in a rush before the next show and he did not make me happy. and thats it, his name goes on the bad vendor list. I am personally getting sick of this crap.

If you want real service, next time buy from truehonda or dezod. They actually care about making you satisfied.

I've personally bought a test pipe and an altezza grille from him. The only bad thing was, is that it took FOREVER to get here. Whats up with that, 2-3 days to get the order handled crap???

wow, didnt realise it was that bad with them now.... yes truehonda, dezod are great! SLP was good too, along with NAmotorsports, IAP, ptuning... had good experiences with them.

ya they aren't around much but still good guys. SLP has made huge contributions (return fuel setup among others). Robear hasn't even been on here lately so I doubt he'll even see this.

IAP is down the road from me, like .0002 miles lol so if they ever screw u lemme know. Lol. BTW i got a lip from ABS dynamics also and it has the same fitment issue, i couldnt return so i got pissed and drilled it and screwed it down. I think ABS dynamics is bullshit, but ive had good expierneces with robear. Im sorry to hear about that, hopefully he will correct the situation.

They told me to call the ABS place i called them it took me 1hr and 30 mins to get someone on the phone and explain my problem, only to find out i need to settle my problem with the vendor a.k.a Rob.

I just got so mad i told my body shop to cut the lip in the middle add a plastic piece mend it together just so its long enough to cover the entire bumper, without having to sacrifice paint and scratching if i ever needed to take the lip out.

It took them 3 and half weeks to ship my order, during which the last week of that they told me they didn't have the lip i wanted and would not settle on making a Type B lip for the same price.

yea robs not exactly the best business man....when i was gonna buy some tokico blues from him he told me to order from the website...so i did but for the rears it never stated that u had to order 2 so i didnt...i thought they came together...so the total came out to be about $380 or so and i thought because of the site it was that price for all four...than i go there at the time he quoted me to pick them up (i drove for an hour one way) to find that they are not there...so i wait a lil cuz he said ups "might" show up so i grab a bite to eat...still no shocks....than he leaves without giving me my shocks...and i have to drive back for an hour empty handed...next day he gives me a call saying they're in...but he never bothered to tell me the day before that the price went up to $480 instead of $380 so i was like WTF...and never picked them up...than he trys to pull some bullshit sayin him screwin him over even tho he never bothered to tell me anything while i was there...i bought sidemarkers from him a long time ago and it was good....now i give him a
