Thumbs up maxbore.com

jorge rocks. maxbore.com is a throttle body boring service. he just did my y8 throttle body and increased it 3mm. he basically cleans and makes it look new. then bores it in a lathe and machines a new throttle plate out of brass. i heard about him threw d-series.org. i installed it today and it runs good, idles good, and looks good. jorge is a polite guy to do buisness with as well. i post some pics but i can't direst link them yet.

well after a month my tps died and the throttle body is useless. idle surges and trans not shifting right. I had to put a new stock tb back on.

yea i did. the idle screw also didn't function. i'm gonna see if he'll do anything but i'm not gonna install it again. gains were nice but my auto tranny wasn't shifting right and by the end it wouldn't even shift out of gear.

basically, you need to adjust your tps. the voltage is too high. putting a bigger throttle body on a car takes a lot of tuning. if the throttle stop screw isn't working then that needs to be fixed. i posted in your thread "car not running well" about how to adjust your tps. you may also have to adjust your throttle stop as well as your idle screw until you come up with something that works.

i saw that. but i'm not really able to do it. the screw is completely taken out and the lever is sitting against the tb. so you can't really adjust it. it looks like the plate is closed but who knows. and it was working fine for a month but all of a sudden the voltage got high and whole car messed up. i'm just sick of messing with this stuff. nothing ever works

okay. i'm not gonna harp on it. but you need a new screw for the throttle lever. and you can adjust your tps by moving the sensor back and forth until the correct voltage is found. and if you adjust the throttle lever screw it also changes the tps setting. so you have to go back and readjust the tps to the correct voltage after you've moved the throttle lever up or down. this is tedious tuning for an obd2 ecu.
