Don't Go To Sun Masters!!!

i just came back from sun masters to claim warranty on my 3m black panther window tint and they won't do it. when i bought it back in 2002 the salesman told me that this tint has a lifetime warranty on cracking, bubbling, and fading. now they are under a different management (still sunmasters) and do not carry 3m film anymore. so now they will not even replace my tint with something else. i talked a different salesman and manager and they said they are not liable for what the old management did. they told me to take it up with 3m and that it something i have to deal with. the manager won't even talk to 3m for me. these guys are dicks and don't care about their customers. i mean it doesn't even cost them anything to call 3m and tell them the situation.

Unfortunately, thats how things are. When management changes, the new owners will rarely ever honor warranties issued by the old management, because in their eyes, the old management didnt know what they were doing. That is the reason they are the old management as opposed to the current management...

Im just giving you the philosophy behind things here. I understand what you're saying, they clearly dont give a crap about customer satisfaction and its pretty pathetic that they wont pickup the phone and call 3m for you to explain the situation. it would take them a few minutes to do and they could cut a deal with you and say "ok we can get you the film free but we'll install it, you just pay for the labour." That would be pretty fair IMO. Maybe go suggest that to them; when they see they can get some business here, hopefully they will change their mind and help ya out.

true, i guess ill live with the old tint and maybe down the road get another car. but what pisses me off is that they won't even pick up the phone and just talk to 3m for me. i mean i didn't tell them to argue for me, just to tell 3m the situation cause i already told 3m about it and they told me to take it up wit sun masters. neways just wanted to inform everyone about know how sun masters treat customers.

well do you have the original reciept when you got the tint? If so does it state on there anything about the lifetime warranty? If it does, I would go and bitch even if they have new management, if you have a piece of paper with all there info and warranty, that is a binding contract that they have to follow. New management cant change that.

Also call 3M yourself, dont wait for them to do it.
