Thumbs down showstoppers

so i ordered a cf trunk for my coupe on aug, 6 they told me i could have it by the 14th which was a saturday. no prob! ok fine....i call tuesday for a tracking # and they said the driver is picking up the trunk from vis and they woulld hook me up with shipping. i called everyday that week and then he told me the driver is on the way to vis each time. gave me the run around for a week then when they shipped it they didnt even hook me up on the shipping....i gotta wait 10 days to get it very bad customer service if you ask me...and they never called me i had to call them.

well, i didnt want to say anything about my experience cause i have always heard good things about showstoppers, but on july 7th i order a VIS cf trunk for my car...i recieved it on the on the 12th, it was the wrong one...called chuck...told me to take pic and send to him..i did...he said as soon as he got a tracking number from fedex, that he would send me the correct one out in the mail...well, i called him with the tracking number on the 14th...he said that he would get one to me the next day...well, 2 weekeds went by and nothing...i called chuck everyday, for a week staight, and he was too busy to talk to me and no one else there new anything about what was going on...i told one of his sales man that if he didnt personally call me back, that i would be demanding a refund...well, he called me and told me that it has been in the mail over a week and that he didnt know what was going on....yeah right...he didnt even have a tracking number for me....i called him everyday the first week in august and he still said that fedex hasnt updated him wiht tracking number...emailed him several times for it at his request, and he never returned my emails with a tracking number when HE told me to email him...i called 3 times on august 6 and finally he said that fedex updated him and that the trunk was on its way and that i should have it that day, and at the latest, the following monday the 9th....well when i got home from dallas on the 9th, there was no trunk, i called him very pissed off...i was like wtf is my trunk....ohhhhh wesley, i am sorry, fedex just updated me with a tracking number....he gave it to me, and he didnt send it out when he said he did 2 weeks prior, he didnt even send it out until the 6th of august, the day that i called pissed off, at the close of business...but i recieved it that wednesday...he had to send it 3days from cali to louisiana, so he paid a buttload on shipping....that was my lil experience with showstoppers....ohhh, the trunk was in perfect shape, and the fitment is perfect too...but i shouldnt have had to wait over a month for a trunk....

I kind of had a bad experience with showstoppers. Called them up for some Rota wheels on the 16th and they gave me a quote. said that they will get a shipment in that Tuesday or Wednesday. Called them up several times and said that their "driver" is trying to deliver them. So finally i called Thursday and asked him if they got the size that i wanted in and said that their driver picked up the wrong ones. Was fed up and decied to buy from Island Motorsports .

Ok guess i will chime in too.. Ordered a Buddy Club 2 body kit from them. first order was placed and then 2 weeks pass and no kit was delivered. supposedly the distributor(?) in New York didnt send it out so he called somebody in Florida and another 2 weeks pass. Finally my kit arives in a huge box.. all packed in the same box unwrapped except on corners just stacked on top each other. Luckily there was no damage to the kit. so shipping quality, which may not be there fault and late arrival is my complaint

Dont expect many places to call you about what items they recieve in, it isnt like you ordered anything, so I dont see why you would be mad if they called you or not. It would be different if you ordered the rims and they said they would call you when they got in.

Well I have to break in and back Chuck up.. I ordered a CarbonFiber Hood and Some Sparco Racing Seats from him with no problem at all. Hell he even pricematched the best prices I could find to give Him. I understand that you guys are mad bc I would be too if I waited a week+ when its supposed to be there in a few days but sometimes stuff really does happen that you cant help...

It sucks to hear that. Every time Ive delt with Chuck its always been great. I ordered pretty much everything for my Si from and always got top notch service from him and everyone at ShowStoppers.
