Grrrr.....help please. *Updated #2* I recently won a set of Z3 fenders from ebay. The guy had already painted them SSM.
Well the big box arrived today. I opened it up and noticed minimal packaging protecting the fenders. As usual, I closely inspected the product.
This is what I found.......................
Here is the other fender...........
What do you all suggest I do? My car goes in the shop next week to get a new rear bumper put on. It has to be painted. Do you think that I should take the fenders to them and have them repaint them while they are at it?
I am thinking of sending these photos to the ebay seller and asking for him to send $75 to cover the cost of the re-painting.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Rep Power: 375 i would either tell the member to pay for the repair costs UNLESS he stated in the auction that there was damage to the fenders. IM a perfectionist and wouldnt even think of putting that on my car unless they were fixable. So either he pays for them to be fixed or you get your money back.

I recieved your package today with the Z3 fenders. To my dismay, I was upset to find the fenders in less than "great shape" as your auction description stated. The driver side fender has a dollar bill size paint smudge with clearly visible dripping paint. The passenger fender contains many scratches along with 2 spots where the paint has been scratched so much that the fiberglass is clearly visible.
A perfect paint job is key to winning car shows. NOPI Nationals is coming up in September and I trusted your auction when you said that the fenders were in "great shape".
I have attached high resolution photographs of the fenders.
I would like to know what steps you will take to help me fix this problem.

Rep Power: 0 I can see your frustration with the quality of the fenders. Even though the condition was stated as "great shape", if you looked at all the pics in supersize you would've been able to see the defects on the fenders. I don't think you looked closely enough before you actually bid. Hope all turns out well for you though.

the fenders are in great shape, but the paint on them could use more clear or some buffing from when i seen them! but let me know what you think

You said they were in great shape. You said nothing about the damage in the auction. I am requesting that I be refunded my money for these fenders. They are not what the auction described or what I was willing to pay for. Please refund my $207.50 and I will return your fenders so that you may sell them to someone else.
Please help me resolve this problem. I am open to other suggestions if you have any. l do not want to contact EBay for further assistance but I will if forced to. I'm sorry but I cannot just let you rip me off like this.

i dont want to refund the fenders, they are in great shape, i guess that i just thought when i was selling them that someone was going to paint them, i had about 25 emails of people asking me the condition of the fiberglass , so i will work something out with but i dont want to refund them, i mean, i did not know that you were looking for a show quality paint job on them too! i mean think about, iam a very practical person, but were can you get fenders painted to show quality, so you car can go to nopi for $200!?

My car goes in the shop on Monday to get repaired for an accident. The collision center will need to paint my new bumper. I will ask them how much extra it will cost for them to repaint the fenders while they are at it. Then I will let you know the cost.

well he sounds kind of reasonable, he might have been trying to rip you off to begin with or he just thought whoever he sold them to would just paint them and not complain about his idea of "great shape", although it now seems that he is going to help you out, i think if he weren't then he wouldn't even respond
Excuse my language lol. What a ****ing **** suxer. Tell him he needs to learn to write in complete smooth sentences. He should belong in the first grade. It's clear he's an idiot so you will have to excuse his stupidity. I mean, you sell something like this on ebay and you get it painted. He says he doesn't expect people to want show quality paint jobs? Show quality paint jobs are regular paintjobs lol. It looks like that one was painted with spray paint and a clear coating. What a nut case. I seriously think there are some true ****ing idiots out there that belong back in school.

Rep Power: 413 In all my years of buying on ebay, this is the FIRST time that I have EVAR had problems with a product.
I'm glad that this got sorted out. I will be calling around to find a good price on the repaint.......anyone got any estimates?
