crx=$2000, jdm b16a2+everything it needs=$1500, engine swap installment=$1000, turbo kit=$3500. for like 7 grand, i can have a car in the low 14s, high 13s. next diy project in 2004. got a 91 crx si from the classifieds and it looks good and its all stock. in mid 2004 it will be a heluva sleeper. i'll give it a fresh paint job too. just an idea to share with yall...

It is played out alot, but have fun with it. Oh and you should hit low 13s maybe high 12s with good tires. 220whp+light *** little honda=fast *** time on the quarter mile

7 to 8k for a 14 sec car... not worth it IMO.. why not just get a used camaro V8 for 5 k, and chip+s/c that sucka with the leftover 3k... blow the doors off the hatch.

hey, i actually can afford that with my left over 10k i will have after i spend it on the 8k for the crx + all the work. the money was from my parents left over cash for my other college. then i can spend 6k for my k20 swap... but i gotta enjoy d17 efficiency first.

i just got the crx registered today with insurance so i am driving it now. its all stock still, but mid 2004 will be the time it becomes a 13 sec monster.

camaro... i'll consider it but insurance will be hella expensive. i am paying insurance (geico)264/month for my vic and 7thgen already. what more if i get a camaro...

im gonnaa do the samething.. well sorrta.. ive found a few 90-93 240sx's around ehre for under 2g,and then im gonna either put a turbo on that engine, or i will swap in a SR20DET, or a RB25DET if i have the money.... and go from there... i cant wait i should have the 240 wiht in a week.... how fast will it be? just a 240 wiht an SR20?

well first off the rx-7 is a v-8 so a 4 cylinder would have no chance anyways. as far as the 240 sx i dont know much about them.

a 240 with just a SR20 will run mid to high 14s, especially an older model. the rb25 is a hard and expensive swap but has a ton of potential. some people on the local boards here have ka-t's with maybe 400whp, but in the end, the ka24 is a truck engine, and behaves like one until you make some significant mods to it.
