Here's another picture of a MOMO Race AirLeather/Alloy. This one's got a brushed finishing ring and leather boot. Also, you'll see the brushed stainless steel e-brake handle. (Matches the aluminum better than anything else.) Also with the Momo leather boot.
Anyone who tells you $80 is too much to spend on a shift **** either drives an automatic or doesn't appreciate the feel of the **** on the shifter they use countless times a day. Personally, I think it's one of the best ways to enhance the feel of the driving experience in one's own car.

After that, just slide the leather boot down the handle (can totally be done with the center console still in place) then fit the handle over the shaft. From there, it's just tighten three screws (like the shift ****) but you have three lengths to choose from. So you just use the ones that best hold it in place. The only issue I have so far (I just installed it a week ago) is that the end of the handle (where the button is) still moves around a little. So I think I'll work on a DIY to better-immobilize it. (The Honda/Acura adapter Momo sells really doesn't work. Either that, or I'm a complete idiot and can't figure out how it's supposed to help.)
And there's nothing you need to attach the bottom of the boot to. Just let it drop into the slot where the handle goes, and pull the top over the lip on the end of the new handle and you're done.

Hmm. . . dunno if you're asking me, but I threw on the Neuspeed SS adapter while I was doing the rest of the install (shift boot, e-brake handle and boot)
Combine the SS adapter, the new ****, and a boot. . . . mmmmm. Makes for a nice feeling combination.

I have the DC5 Type R 6 speed **** on there now (looks identical except for the lettering is red) but here is my car with a DC2 Type R shift boot and a Base RSX optional 5 speed ****
shift ***** are nothign special. momo and al that is all name. just go to pepboys autozone or advance auto parts to get shift ***** there. they look good and are pretty heavy too. expect to pay between 10-25 bucks. paying more than 30 bucks for a shift **** is outragous
