When I first test drove the car I noticed a "EPS" light on the dash and thought it was for some emission thing, but its a warning light for Electric Power Steering.

Electric power steering has advantages and disadvantages. Some people will argue about either.
Its numb feeling because the electric motor does the work and doesn't always push back like hydraulic does... so you lose some of the feel.
On the other hand.. you can whip it from lock to lock and you can't out run the motor like you can do with Hydraulic pumps, you can also get the speed sensitivity thing with electric.
I personally don't like it... I think it feels numb, but it is cool to throw an electric assisted car around... cuz you never have to fight it.
