Crap...

i know this topic belongs in the tech section, members rides, and off topic...

but anyways i just got my car back and i didn't realize that how slow my car really was... first of all i took off the CIA and made it a short ram because i had to change the filter, now it is freaking loud, and my car shakes alot now. then i went to put on my ignition coils, they worked fine. last i decided to put on my X-brace, well it turns out that the X-brace hits my HP headers where it connects to the b-pipe. so when i make hard turns or stops i can hear the x-brace rub against the headers... im going to get it removed on monday and get longer studs and washers so it doesn't hit, and i still need to fix the Apexi V-afc. other than that everything else is fine. o yea i need to adjust the TYC projectors they are too high and i think im blinking people with my lows.

i guess u're just venting a lil.

frustration with car.

I can relate.

I finally got new tires, Bridgestone Potenza RE950... and finally got my alignment fixed... my camber was off by like 1 degree or so and it ate away the crappy stock firestones...

end up spending $433 for that.. $327 for tires and $106 for mount balance, valve stem, disposal fee, and alignment.

good thing I got a new job to help pay for the expenses.

now to treat myself I'm selecting a muffler and getting an axel back made outta it. heh.

I still really want all these things.. but no money. heh.

Hmm... Venting thread eh? Here goes...

I thought that a rear strut tower bar would get rid of this creek I get when I get the car moving when it's parked on a hill or when weight is transfered from the front to the back when accelerating for example. It didn't. I thought that adjusting the sway bar bushing brackets would help. It didn't. I don't know what the hell the problem is, so next thing I'll try is further chassis stiffening with closed cell expandable foam that I'll inject into the chassis. I think this may be the solution.

My front bumper still doesn't fit properly after my frontal accident. I chopped off a lot of it so that I could lighten it and so that it would fit better up front. Still doesn't though. It hits the windshield washer fluid tank even without the grills on. Plus the mounting method is mediocre. I need something else. The stupid bodyshop is to blame as is Tsunami. Plug and play is not in their vocabulary.

My wheel well plastic lining is torn apart pretty badly from the first accident and from the body shop. BTW, Lundgren Honda in MA sucks! Don't go to their body shop. They're cheap, but you get what you pay for. They used rivets to hold that plastic liner together. I just found out not too long ago when I was under the car. The whole thing will need to get replaced. Although I'm considering doing something else; like a custom aluminum liner and transmission protection like a rally car. Might as well, eh?

My windshield has two big ole rock chips in it as well as countless smaller ones. Looks like *** even when I wash it to perfection. Bleh. I wish that it would break already so that I could get a new one. In MA we get a freebie from insurance. Might get one with that blue stripe up top. Now that would be nice. Blk4blk2k1 got one like that not too long ago. I'm envious.

One of my rims has a cracked spoke. I drive hard on it all the time too. This may be the source of the creeking. Maybe. I need to get a replacement. The place I bought it from is talking to Rota for me. Maybe I'll get one soon for free? I hope I will, I hope I will... When I do I think I'll ditch the 17's and go for some light weight 16's instead. I need more meat on my wheels. The roads up here in MA suck!

I can talk about more, but nobody will listen anyway, so I'll just shut up now.

i still don't have the money to get new tires, mine are bald as it can be (but still not as bad as the fire stones)

i need to get my belt changed, but no money, they squeek when wet

my hood is leaking water into the engine bay, and some how causing the enginebay to let out smoke and it looks like my car is breathing out hot air out of its nose

there is a stupid clicking sound from where in the car that only comes up when i am driving on a sunny day, and i can't figure it out what it is

i still yet to find the screws for the stock cd player

the mr2 i just looked at and was in the process of getting the money was sold, **********er!!!
