Now, before any of you say "Pics, we need pics!", I don't have any yet. My wife has the camera, and she's in New York. As soon as I get it back, I'll put up some shots. Anyways, I finally got my rims put on my car. Before that, I still had the RS grill, window tint, all that exterior stuff, but STILL had the stock steelies and caps. I never got comments before. But it started at the shop that installed my rims, yesterday. **wavy lines come in, TV-like flashback in progress** There was a guy getting some work done on his SUV, and he sees my car with the new rims on one side. He comes over to me and asks, "What kind of car is that?". I tell him, and he says "Oh, very nice. I like the things you've done to it. It stands out, but in a classy way, not like one of those 'Hey look at me' civics." I tell him that I want a car that looks nice, but doesn't stand out too much, and he tells me that I've done a great job.
Now tonight, I went to the 7-11 after work, and there's a couple of guys standing out front. I pull into the lot, and get out of my car. I hear "Hey man, you've got a sweet car." I turn and say thanks, and one of them is already standing beside it checking it out. So I ask if he's a car guy, and he says yes. We spent about 5 min talking about cars, mine in particular, and he tells me, "I gotta go man, but I love your car."
It's nice to be noticed, not as a "ricer", but as a guy that puts some time into modding his car for the better. I like it! I like it alot!!

Zman, I just ordered those rims 18" RS Limited Tramas in machined silver. Are yours machined silver? Those rims also came in another finish HMC Silver, but the shop didnt have them I was wondering what that color HMC silver was like. Anyone have any ideas?

They might be machined silver. I bought them from Redevil on this site. Good guy. I forgot to ask what the finish was exactly. I say they are brushed aluminum b/c they look like that. The finish on the front of the spokes looks like a........well.......looks like a brushed aluminum. But I guess you could call it machined silver. It kinda looks like a chrome finish, but not as shiny. I don't know, I like 'em.

yeah i think you are talking about machined silver. The face of the rims are shiny like brushed aluminum and the side of the spokes is regular silver color. But yeah, i like that look too. Thanks

Don't even bother explaining man. Most of these kids don't realize that other people use their cars as daily drivers while driving over shitty roads.
