if he was a real good friend he would explain to his mom that cars cost money, and even more money when someone backs into them and ****s them up. but in any case, she should be more than happy to cover the cost for you, it is her fault. if she wont, turn it into insurance. sorry bout the car.
That sucks, your car was lookin real good too...
Just tell her you went to the body shop to get it fixed, and they need her insurance information in order to the work on your car???

yea i hope his mom see this whole thing from my point of view, but she just called me....yall wont believe wat she said...told me not to fix it at all, or she asked me to take it to some generic shop and have them hammer the whole thing.....i wanted to go off at her but i didn't, instead i slowly explained to her and stuff...hope she understand....and i dont wanna report nothing unless its my last option, cause thats gonna ruin our friendship....well at least his mom wont let us hang out anymore....any other advice?
Tell his mom that unless she paid for your car, she has no say in how you will fix it.
It is your car. You paid the money. She hit your car. Therefore, it is her responsibilty, not option, to fix the car to its original / estimated value.
It was her fault, she needs to learn how to be an adult about it.

You're young. There will be many more friends in your life. Make her fix it. If she doesn't want it on her insurance, then she can just pay cash. A mom like that is gonna be even more trouble in the future.

Well, I hope you filed a police report... cuz if you drove off, its your word on hers and you may be fawked. If the cops didn't come, you're going to have to prove that she hit your car somehow, after the fact... basically you're making the accusation and she isn't necessarily guilty of it in the opinion of the law because you are claiming it ex post facto. If you had a cop come at the time of the accident, this would be a hell of a lot simpler. Good luck either way.
Besides, if your friend isn't good enough to make their mom realize they did some serious damage, it was totally her fault and should fix it... Fawk em... they're not a true friend.

tell ur friend man
if he is a true friend, then he will understand and make his mom understand that she must pay!
but really i dont see how ur friend has to explain to his own mother, that when you *u*k s*it up, u gotta pay for it!

that really sucks, but I would make the mother pay for it. Would do you think she would say if you backed into her?? Your friend will understand if he is a real friend, which he obviously he is

Without a police report or a witness statement, that is a possibility. I just hope for your sake that it doesn't come down to pressing charges, or filing a complaint. Let us know how it works out, hopefully for the best.

if she is willing to pay, dont go under insurance, but do tell her that the shop will be your choice of course! coz legally, with insurance claims or personal claims you have the full rights to take ur car to any APPROVED body shop...so u choose as long as they have their legal license to repair damaged vehicles
so take it where u want!

so take it where u want!
I learned my lesson the hard way, so I will share some insight.
First, you must call your insurance company. Yes, your rates may go up, but will they go up enough to outweigh 2500 dollars? If you don't call your company, you may end up having to pay for all of it from your pocket. Sure you can go to small claims court and sue your friend's mom. But this is no guarantee.
Number one point. If you have 2500 to risk do nothing, pay for you car and hope she pays you back.
#2: You pay insurance for a reason. Your company will find out and it will be worse if they do. Tell them the truth. Let them handle getting the money.
#3: What does this say about your friend. His parents are so morally corrupt as to attempt to deny you the just payment you are owed. Either she pays insurance for a reason, or she has no insurance and is trying to make you wait until you have no recourse. Basically once your car is fixed, she may never pay. And what does this say about the morals of your friend?
Basically, call your insurance company. Pay your deductible. Get your car fixed. Find a new friend.

a good friend should know whats right and wrong. i grown up ADULT should have knowledge by this age (a mom) should know its her fault and should pay for the things she do; besides you are her son friend's.
if i were a parent i wouldn't tried to that, how will my son feel! hey i tried to hate or anything but i hate when people get screw over! man shes given you the run around call the insurance company. good luck

Man you are handling the situation well! I would be so pissed off if I was in your position. I would make SURE she was paying for it. Of course I would try not to be a **** about it but you gotta do what you gotta do. Let us know what happens!
