can u tint over another tint? cuz i want mine darker anyone know wat % tint is dark enough at night so u can barely see at night ? nothing like 5% tho..thanmks

The only reason I would see someone doing that is to have some cool design with two tone tints. Other than that, just take off the old tint and put some really dark tint on.

i got 35% platnum tint Saturday over top of my factory tint, it looks good.. illegal, but good.

Go with something like 15 or 25 if you don't want 5. Tinting on top of tint is really half-assed though.

Mirror tint looks like **** IMO.

now i'm not expert on this, and maybe im thinking too deep into this thread (that happens when you've been staring at a screen all day at work). but if i were you i would take the existing tint off or else it will look MUCH darker than intended. Here's my reasoning:

Say you have 20% on there right now. that means that of 20% of light gets through, and 80% is blocked correct. Now if you put 10% on top of that, won't that take 10% off of the light getting through the previous tint, not the total 100% that would normally be getting through??? Does anyone understand what I'm trying to say?

Maybe I'm just thinking too much about this. I could be wrong, but I think the percentages change when you're dealing with layering tints...god i need a drink....

I wouldn't tint over tint. Just take it off and get all new tint. Do it the right way,

Yeah, it's basically a law of diminishing returns type thing. I'm not sure if you're right or not, but thanks to junior year algebra, I could make the equation for you! Haha... I hate math.
