I need recommendation's on what to get...
Cool, thanks.
I have my mind set on the AEM SRI, and the Neuspeed bar, now I'm just trying to find a heat shield online that would fit the AEM (does it really do that much, I know someone said you don't have to have it, but does it help?).

They allow for the shielding of hot air, but at the same time you are really pulling the air from the same place you were before the heat shield, so your only blocking out a few degrees of heat maybe 2 degrees at best, don't worry about it, it does nothing. Acutally get it for the looks if anything but that is about it
Fair enough, thanks.
Another question, that Tanabe exhaust you mentioned, how often does the muffler need to be replaced? I can't remember what the manual said for the OE one... And do they replace the cat when they change your muffler at tune ups, or does that stay?

you dont need to change the muffler or the catback system for that matter. Its stainless steel so it wont rust. The only reason youll need to change it is if you fugg it up or decide to replace it with a differnt brand
I've got the Tanabe Hspec, which is slightly quieter than the Rspec (I think). In hindsight, I should have gotten the R-spec because I think it looks better and I wouldn't mind having an even louder exhaust. Guess I should have taken more time in making my purchase. In any event, I'm still very happy with what I've got.
Don't know much about SRI's, but had the Injen SRI installed two weeks ago. The Tanabe alone made a really nice sound, but combined with the SRI....damn, talk about loud!

Yeah I think you're right. I just don't want something that's going to be really loud, but RedDragon333 said it isn't that loud (the Tanabe Rspec) so I guess it will be fine.
I just did some financial estimating last night, and around this time next year, by spending on average 50% of what I earn (I'm only 18 working once a week for minumum wage) I should have around $1,000 to spend on stuff, but I'm hoping on getting a better job for the summer, with more hours, so it all depends on the money I will have.

I used to think detailing was addictive....but it's actually nothing compared to this!

Your on the right track but get used to the money issue. Ive been doing this ever since i bought the car and its a very expensive hobby. But i enjoy it and thats what its all about. I shudder when i think about how much ive actually wpent on this car. Its all worth it tho
Yeah, I'll be the same way, once I get the money and start doing stuff I'll be hooked, it just makes your car unique from the other thousands of Civic's out there.
Also, obviously if I'm going to be changing my own oil, and putting the exhaust system on myself, I'll need to get underneath the car (it is just a bolt on procedure, right?). So I'm just wondering what everyone thinks of this: Team Mecanix Garage In a Box
I thought it was a good price, but I'm just wondering if it's good quality and sturdy?
